Description A robotics engineer told me that these optic glass pieces are for use in industrial laser equipment. And their original production cost was most likely in the thousands of dollars, but I haven't got a clue as to what they are used for. This is an assorted group of 55 solid glass pieces. And each one is numbered on the edge. They are concave on one side. When you look straight down through any of them, they appear to be opaque or diffuse, but when you view the same surface from an angle, it appears to be a mirrored surface.

This is a very large cylindrical lens used for industrial laser diode welding and heat treatment machines up to 3KW optical power at 808nm+. 15nm. It is part of an optical system that will correct the beam from the arrays to make it able to be focused to about 10mm on the workpiece. The lens will work with other wavelengths up to 980nm and as short as visible ranges, with some attenuation in the green region. High power 445nm-450nm laser diode pull from Casio XJ-A240 projector. These will do 1-1.5 Watts depending on how much you push them. They do around 1 watt@ 1.0 A. max for these is 1.6 A. Anything over that and you may get thermal runaway and destroy the diode. Comes with lens in protective capsule and shorting block on the diode terminals. Were removed properly with vacuum de-solderer to leave nice clean and long terminals. Laser glasses HIGHLY recommended. This projector had about 2K hours on it. That leaves around 18K hrs left on the diodes. So with the time left on them. If you ran this one hour a day it would last 49 years and 4 months. A lot of bang for your buck. 445nm HIGH POWER 2W+ blue laser diode w/lens from Casio XJ projector
High power 2 Watt + 445nm laser diode pull from Casio XJ Series projector. The finished laser in pics is not for sale. This is to illustrate how you can build an awesome lab or show laser from your own parts. I was not happy with the heat sinking ability of the little Chinese modules available out there. They use a press in diode mount that does nothing for the other side of the diode. I used two back to back press in diode holders and indium foil. That and more copper plates and a one inch fan. This little monster is more efficient than I thought. After testing for 5 minutes it remained cool to the touch even without the fan! In the first pic I did ad a little smoke as it was taken in daylight. The other pic shows it without the smoke. These are ridiculously powerful and hot! I do NOT recommend building a"pointer" from these. They ... moreare just too dangerous. Even a reflection off a window will bounce 8% of the beam back at you. 4% for each side of the glass. To clarify. At 2 watts that would be 160mw. Enough to blind you quick! Great for light show projectors and lab style lasers. This auction is for one 2 watt + laser diode w/shorting block for esd protection and the lens pulled from the same projector only. They will be shipped in an anti-static bag and foam cushioning. The projector these came from had about 600 hours on it. That leaves around 19.400 hrs left on the diode. The photo through my microscope shows the identifying emblem for the 2 watt lasers on the case. The 2 Watts have a circle above the square where the 1 Watts do not. Coherent High Power Laser Diode Welder FAP Primary Collimation Lens 808nm 60W
This is the primary collimator assembly from a high end DPSS micro welder engraver. This optic collimates the beam from a FAP laser diode. It turns the flashlight like output of these modules into a laser pointer like beam which was then focused onto a DPSS crystal. The lens diameter is about 3/4 inch. Focal length is about 1.5 inches, and the collimated output beam is about 1/2 inch. I have other optical parts from the dpss laser set up on ebay as well. This is a 1 inch diameter by about 4 inch FL lens used to correct the beam from a FAC corrected laser diode bar to make it into a usable beam for standard delivery to industrial galvo scanners in a micro welding machine. It will make the beam into a much more manageable spot useful for heat treating and other uses. The base of the lens has scuffing from a failed removal attempt. Great condition. Extracted from a M250 projector with low hours! Same diode as the M140 and better then the A140! You must use a"constant current" power source like a current limiting driver and a heatsink to cool these! Do not hook these straight to a battery they will led and die! Do not over heat the diode its a good idea to press these into a module before soldering and then dont over heat the diode! A low temp iron is best to use under 20w and let the diode cool between legs! These should give a reliable 2w with some overdriven abilities in the 2.3-2.5w range Super Safe Current= 1.6a Suggested Current= 1.8a Max Overdriven Current= 2a( Depends on the diode this current may kill your diode only a select few are able to do this current with a 2.5w output!
