I purchased this locally at an estate sale and had wanted to experiment with time lapse photography but never got around to it. The laser module is 5mW as shown on the laser module label in the photos. The system consists of a controller and a laser module. I had played around with some of the preprogrammed patterns(see photos) There is a copy of the manual and it looks like some keypad programming of patterns is possible. I don't know how much flexibility there is with this. The controller unit is 19" wide rack mountable, 3-1/2" high and about 7-1/4" deep(laser module is shown sitting on top of the controller in the photos so you can get a size reference) Laser light color is green. Looking inside at the mirrors I see some dust inside ... moreas shown. I have not tried to use this with audio and I have not tried to program the unit so sold as-is(it does run. I just haven't done any extensive testing so can't gaurantee anything beyond it running the patterns) There is a pattern list in the manual so you can see what is available(see photos) The keypad and display seem find, I don't detect any dead membrane keys etc. Some wear and dust on the unit. Laser Beam Shutter with Ledex Rotary Solenoid and CO2 10.6um Mirror
Rotary Beam Shutter Solenoid with a CO2 Laser Mirror This is a kit for a laser beam shutter/ beam delivery control actuator. It's a rotary solenoid with an attachable arm. Which has a CO2 laser mirror at its end. When power is applied to the solenoid, the arm very quickly rotates to it's"up" position, so the mirror is removed from the beam path. When power is removed, the arm returns by spring action to its resting position. This is an important fail-safe feature- if control power is disconnected for some reason, the arm moves into the beam path and stops the beam. A typical arrangement would place the arm with the mirror at 45 degrees to the beam. So that when the solenoid is not actuated, the beam is diverted to a beam stop(a piece of non-reflective, non flammable material) Another option is to divert the beam towards ... morea power meter- so you can get an immediate, automatic readout of beam power! Power Technology 3mw 635nm Laboratory Grade Laser Diode Module Bright Red Beam
This is a nice laser diode module that was part of an older micro-array genetic scanner. The module has a modulation/enable input and runs off 12V. The laser diode is TEC cooled and has a rock solid laser diode driver that is far better than any of the current laser diode drivers they make today. One thing you could do is swap the low powered laser diode out for a higher powered unit and make a very nice laser module suitable for laser light shows up to about 200ma actual diode current draw. High Power Industrial Coherent Laser Diode 30W 808nm Burning Cutting Beam Gold
This is one of those high power gold laser diodes similar to the one that I offered months ago that was in a miniature precision welding machine. This one however. Came from a really powerful DPSS laser I stripped for parts because the YVO4 was fried. It makes 806nm at 25 deg C which is good for pumping higher power DPSS rods. You can run a little warmer if you want exactly 808nm output for a self-q-switched Yag or similar crystal. It takes about 2.3V at up to 40A to operate and makes an industrial strength burning laser beam out of the lens on the end. Included in the sale is a collimator lens for a welder machine. The lens is removable to use on other similar laser diodes(795-980nm) if you like. These lasers are very hard to find with the matching lens attached. Definitely not something you'll find at Radio shack! I have lots of lasers, ... moretubes, and other unique stuff for sale this week.
