This is a Millivac MV-828A RF millivolt meter. Measures from 1 mv- 3 v full scale in 8 ranges. Frequency response from 100 kHz- 1+ gHz. This meter powers up and zeros on all ranges. But since it doesn't have an RF probe, I couldn't fully test it. Includes the AC power cord. Manuals are available online, but I can supply an electronic copy in PDF format at the buyers request. This is a Millivac MV-928A RF millivolt meter. This meter measures RF voltages in 8 ranges from.001 volt to 3.0 volts full scale. This meter is identical to the more common MV-828. But includes it's own built in rechargeable battery for portable use, as well as running off of 117 VAC. The meter powers up and the zero control works. I also charged the battery and it works from battery power as well, I left it powered on for about an hour) The battery is no doubt old, so how long it will hold a charge is unknown. Unfortunately, I do not have the RF Probe for it, so I can not test full functionality or accuracy. The unit has the usual number of paint chips, scratches and scrapes, please study the pictures. Unit powers on and the 10 MHz reference signal works(confirmed by a frequency counter in the second picture) First picture shows result of pressing the status button. The relays can be heard clicking as the output power is increased or decreased. All front panel buttons seem to respond as expected. And tested special function codes work(e.g. Deviation meter code goes to correct setting- but don't know if the deviation meter works) Could be as simple as an internal fuse for all I know. I don't know enough about signal generators- and don't have time to thoroughly test and repair. You're welcome to request any simple tests. No known issues but other then seeing the Power light go on, Totally UNTESTED. I think I would need an Oscilascope or some other piece of equipment to test this, neither of these I have. In my younger days I actally built a Knight-Kit TV as well as an Amplifier and Receiver that I built for my Father. I did not build this one. Weighs 8 lbs, 10 ounces in the original box. This box measures 12 1/2 inches by 9 3/4 by 8 1/2 inches tall.
