ABC Office 18" Shrink Wrap Bag Sealer This bag sealer was used for about three years and worked perfectly. Our math estimates that it has only been used for about 2 hours of straight sealing time during those three years(we seal about 10 items per day multiplied by 3 seconds per seal, multiplied by 260 business days per year = 2 hours) Recently the timer circuit failed. And now the heating wont click on because of it. The 4th photo shows the small timer circuit board, which is likely a very inexpensive part. We just didn't have time to fix it, and we wanted a smaller bag sealer anyway. We also had recently purchased a full maintenance kit for the machine which we never got to use(see 5th photo) We paid about $45 for it. Everything else about the machine is in great condition. Since the top doesn't need sealing and the one side is sealed from the previous use. This means you can seal most things in one motion. Comes with replacement wire. The part that heats up& can burn out with heavy use. This is everything you need to start shrink wrapping! The roller for the film is integrated into the sealer which makes it easier to operate. Its position can be adjusted and locked in. There is also bar that holds the film open so it's easier to slide in your item. Speeds up the process. The blue part that you push down to make the seal is open in the middle so if your item is bulky. It just goes around it. The details: The company that used this unit went out of business ... moreand so it hasn't been used for a number of years. The unit is being disposed of as part of the clean up. It was just tested and it worked perfectly! It looks solid. Industrial strength and well made. It has a partial roll of shrink wrap plastic included(not sure whether the age of that matters. If you've ever used a heat gun on shrink wrap, you know it takes a bit of finesse. Unfortunately, we didn't have anyone with finesse who had time to do the wrapping. This machine processes EASILY 400 packages per hour. Probably more. It has an adjustable heat knob that we found works best at 8 for our purposes. We'll ship it with the original manual, but it's so easy to figure out that the manual really is just cage liner(don't worry, we didn't use it as cage liner) There is about a 1/3 rate of bars that need to be touched up with the heat gun after shrinking. It's much quicker since it's just a touch up here and there. Not blowing the whole bar for 2 minutes. But I do want to be clear that you can't just buy this machine and sail off into the sunset never touching your heat gun again. This is a used Breeta SS-1355 13 inch shrink wrap machine. I used this one in a video store i once owned. It works very well and is easy to operate. A new model like this one sells for 250.00 plus or minus. I don't know how old this one is but. It's at least 10 years old. The only thing missing is the knob used to hold on to when pushing the arm down. It does not make a difference on how it works. The heating element is good and the bottom Teflon is new. I replaced the spring with a different type to see if it would do better than the short spring that it came with. The one that it came with had a tendency to break on occasion. I will send the broken spring with the unit should you want to replace it with one like it. This unit should do the job for lots of years to come. You can also reorder the maintenance kit with new wire, Teflon ... morestrip and rubber pad for around 15.00 to18.00 on the net.
