One thing that is really cool about this machine is that both ends are OPEN so you can seal LARGE bags or just use other plastic you have around to make custom packaging bags. I have used this item a few times and it seems to work great. Although I have not put it into like a full day of sealing bags and packaging stuff. If you were going to start using it in full rotation for your business I would get a service kit to start fresh, I would think the blades would get dull pretty quick. I also noticed that you can get just the 1/2 teflon tape to cover the heat wires. So that is an option also. This unit appeared to be in clean cosmetic condition but the screw holder areas for the front plate are cracked to a point of not being strong enough to hold the plate(see pictures) I dismounted the plate but they are included. the unit powers up but when the foot paddle is pressed. The DMC commercial impulse sealer seals bags of any length and up to 24" wide. Seal width is 2.8mm. Impulse timer is adjustable from 1-8 seconds for perfect seals. This sealer will work on virtually any plastic bag type. Including bags made for commercial vacuum sealing(including Mylar bags) as well as on bags made for consumer vacuum machines, and also on plain poly bags. By making overlapping seals, bags up to 48" wide can be sealed. Easy operation: Just place bag between seal bars and press the upper arm down. Release the arm when the red indicator lamp goes out.
