There are scratches, very light surface rust and some wear from the crimper being set down. There is a small round peg on one side, that has a piece chipped of it. The peg acts as a guide and a catch for the handle. The peg will move side to side, but does not affect the operation of the tool. I used this tool almost daily for about two years after the peg chipped off, and had no problems with crimping seals.
