Tray sealer 1518 15x18 Atlas Vac PLC control Pneumatic sealing press This is a model 1518 tray sealer made by Atlas Vac Machine. This machine was used by a pharmaceutical company so it is very clean and shows little usage. This is a double sided model so two operators take turns sliding their shuttle under the heated sealing platen. Sealing pressure is created by a pneumatic cylinder which is controlled by a solenoid valve. Platen temperature and dwell time are easily set on the control panel with a pair of Omron controllers. This machine features an air pressure alarm system that alerts the operator when the pressure is out of range. The unit was powered up and the platen reached the desired setpoint and the press was operated and it worked well. The air pressure alarm system was also tested and it worked the way it should. Overall this ... moreunit is very clean and in excellent condition. We also have another one of these units that does not have a PLC or pressure alarm for less money. This is a Tray Seal machine manufactured by Atlas Vac Machines in late 90's. Unit was working perfect prior to being removed from location and replaced with a new automatic digital control model about 6 months ago. The machine was appraised for more than twice what I am asking for it. Atlas vac repair tech told me that this machine has atleast 10-15 more years of service left.
