18" Shrink Wrap Bag Sealer Machine - NEEDS REPAIR
ABC Office 18" Shrink Wrap Bag Sealer This bag sealer was used for about three years and worked perfectly. Our math estimates that it has only been used for about 2 hours of straight sealing time during those three years(we seal about 10 items per day multiplied by 3 seconds per seal, multiplied by 260 business days per year = 2 hours) Recently the timer circuit failed. And now the heating wont click on because of it. The 4th photo shows the small timer circuit board, which is likely a very inexpensive part. We just didn't have time to fix it, and we wanted a smaller bag sealer anyway. We also had recently purchased a full maintenance kit for the machine which we never got to use(see 5th photo) We paid about $45 for it. Everything else about the machine is in great condition. Conveyor length is 33" 220 VAC single phase. 25 Amp. 4500 Watts total heat(adjustable) Belt speed 0- 30 ft per min. 34" long x 23" wide x 55 high. 200 lbs. This part of the system of the system was purchased new and is still in like new condition. This whole system was used just little more than one year. Beseler L-Sealer Model 2014- MB. 12" x 18" Sealer. Semi-automatic. 110 VAC. 52" long x 24" Wide x 38" high. 400 lbs. This part of the system was used when we purchased it. It is not in perfect condition. The sealer is works as follows: Put item in film pocket. Slide item under L-arm. Press L-arm down and it locks automatically. Magnetically. Wires heat up and make seal. After a select time magnets release arm and ... morearm swings up. At the same time a conveyor belt starts and transports the sealed item into the Heat Tunnel for shrinking. As it is rigth now, everything works except the conveyor. So, after the sealing is done and the arm lifts, you have to push the item into the Heat Tunnel manually. All of this makes the whole process a little slower than if the conveyor worked. The conveyor could be fixed easily. Beseler is actively in business. One of their offices is New Jersey. We used the system as it is for some time. It works well enough this way. A nearly full spool of burning wire, and many rolls of film are included. In the pictures there is shown an exhaust fan mounted over the L-arm. We added this. It is included. This sealer is in Very Good overall cosmetic condition with some minor blemishes. We think it has never been put into production service. There is no evident"this has been used a lot" type wear. There is some"shelf wear" type cosmetic damage as detailed in the 5th picture. The screen has very-fine scratches that show when the machine is turned off. The Emergency Stop button has a ding in the top. One of the rear panel screws is missing(the screw hole is stripped out) The main circuit breaker toggle is broken but the breaker can still be tripped ... moreeasily by hand. The instruction chart is peeling on the corners. But this is probably from the adhesive getting old. The rest of the machine is in as-new cosmetic condition. Notes: This sealer is working perfectly. We were able to poke at the controls and look at the instruction chart for a few test cycles. Then successfully seal a few bags. The gas purge and vacuum functions work, the e-stop button works. The counter says 41 cycles have been completed, and we think this is probably half us, and half the previous owners poking at the controls also. No other testing was done.
