When either of the cycle switches was depressed the strapping was automatically pulled through the machine and setup for an object to be strapped. The next time the cycle button was pressed, the strapping wrapped around the object, it was pulled tight, the ends melted together and then a nice clean cut. Sometimes when the strapping was being pulled through, it got jammed at the guide cover ... morepin assembly, and we had to start over, then it worked. A good cleaning, adjustments and/or replacement of the guide cover pin assembly, may take care of this problem, but we are not sure. No further testing was done. Band-It Early Version of C00369
Band-It tool made when it was a subsidiary of Houdialle. Inc. prior to being sold off to IDEX Corporation in 1989. The instruction sheet was printed in 1979 so that's about when this tool was made. You can see by the pictures the Band-It tool has essentially been unused for nearly 35 years and is in close to NOS, pristine, condition. I'll even throw in the unopended tube of grease that accompanied the tool when it shipped from the factory. It's doubtful you'll ever be able to find another Band-It tool in this survivor condition.
