Offered without reserve is a vintage Sterling Cast Iron Corner Rounder from an estate. The machine is made from cast iron. It has a large brass tag on the side that reads; The Sterling Patented Aug. 1, 1899 and Mar. 19, 1901, Southworth Bros. Portland ME. When the lever is depressed it lowers a round"foot" that holds the work in place, when the lever is depressed further it engages the curved blade. The press mechanism works very smoothly, I think this machine can be put into service and would last another 100 years, it is Very well made. The rounded blade pressed into a thin slat of wood that slides into a tray at the bottom, the blade can easily be removed by loosening one screw for sharpening. The blade feels sharp, it cuts a radius that is approx. 3/8 or 1/2" It stands approx. 18" tall, the base measures approx. 11" ... morefront to back and it is approx. 10" wide across the front. This paper cutter is in good working condition and still has a good edge on the blade. It sliced through box cardboard with ease. The cutting surface is 19"x18" and the unit overall is 19"x19" There are some cut marks on the surface grid. But it does not affect functionality. Also the tip to the blade stop is crack but still completely functional. This piece stops the blade on the way up. Overall a great used paper cutter from Premier. Thanks for looking! Ideal Kutrimmer Model 1110 Paper Cutter
Kutrimmer Model 1110 Paper Cutter German made. The Mercedes of paper cutters. Cut tissue or thick. Heavy mounting board and metal foil. This is one of the largest models made. Has a cut of approx 43 inches. I used to be in the gallery and framing business. I had a big Ingento which I sold to Roy Vickers many years ago when he started his first galery in Ucluelet. I got back into framing and bought this to replace the Ingento. Good move. It is far superior to Ingento and much heavier construction. A very popular cutter with bookbinders, galleries etc. Just took it out of storage and assembled it in my carport. Ran some big card through it and checked it's precision with a rule and square. It is bang on. This is a used machine and has a few scuffs and minor surface soil. The plexi guard is quite scuffed from the blade running down it. Hold ... moredown works well. This machine can be adjusted in several ways for ease of use and precision. Can't find the original manual. In a file box somewhere. Have downloaded a replacement that covers this machoine well enough. Great opportunity to pick up a quality used machine that only occassionally comes onto the local market.
