You are bidding on a beautiful VINTAGE Paper cutter from Ideal Supply Co. of Chicago. IL. This is the Ingento No. 5 and is roughly 16"x16" and is in really nice shape for its age. The cutting surface overall is pretty blemish free and really does not have anything to noticeable on it as far as stains or spills. There are a few minor separations in the wood due to natural aging which we tried our very best to depict in the photos. The base is made very sturdy with heavy duty dovetail joints and a very heavy duty spring and cutting arm still cuts paper very nicely. I would suggest that when you get this one home that you oil the spring and adjust the blade to your particular liking. This unit is missing the wire that holds the handle closed but you could probably bend one up with coat hanger wire if you really wanted it. Measures 17" wide x 24" deep x 5" high. Ingento paper cutter No. 5 1/2 Up for auction. Fresh from a local estate is a vintage Ingento No. 5 1/2, 19 1/2" professional paper cutter in excellent working condition. The bottom paper tag reads"Ideal School Supply Co. Solid wood base with heavy cast iron cutting handle. Works perfectly! Very sharp. Please be careful. This unit is missing the wire that holds the handle closed but you could probably bend one up with coat hanger wire if you really wanted it. The wood shows cosmetic wear. Please see photos.
