Great smaller Industrial looking piece. Made sometime between 1924 and 1950. This is branded. And is a nice mix of wood and solid metal. Says"Ideal School Supply Co. Chicago IL" also marked Ingento No 3 on the arm. Someone wanting a small project could take the ruler section apart. Lightly sand and stain the wood to really make this stand out. It is a good size for display. But probably could be easily used as well. It is an older model. So it DOES NOT HAVE a guard on the blade. Keep away from children. Nice looking item that reminds me of middle school and high school. But has a certain vintage office feel also. Size: about 11" wide. 14" arm length, 3" tall closed. Ingento paper cutter No. 5 1/2 Up for auction. Fresh from a local estate is a vintage Ingento No. 5 1/2, 19 1/2" professional paper cutter in excellent working condition. The bottom paper tag reads"Ideal School Supply Co. Solid wood base with heavy cast iron cutting handle. Works perfectly! Very sharp. Please be careful. This unit is missing the wire that holds the handle closed but you could probably bend one up with coat hanger wire if you really wanted it. The wood shows cosmetic wear. Please see photos.
