Offered is a vintage. Very well built guillotine paper cutter. This offering has been lightly used by a hobby printer for over 50 years. Has been well maintained and cared for. Original paint still very much intact only a few minor dings in paint. Cutter was originally offered by American Wood Type Manufacturing Company. I have a 1958-59 American Wood Type Catalog which offered this Michael Basic 14" Model, listed as the most popular, low-cost practical paper cutter. This model will cut through a stack of paper 2 inches thick. Will cut paper up to 14 inches wide and depth of cutter bed is 14 inches deep. Cutter has"Made in France" stamped in metal casting. This cutter is an ideal for small letterpress printers. Offset shops, stationers, schools, and small businesses. It has marks and scuffs from use over the years. Says“Premier The Trimmer People Martin Yale Chicago. Illinois” There are no nicks in the blade and it has been sharpened recently. Cuts great.
