Very nice. Light weight paper cutter made by X-Acto. The body is made out of plastic with the cutting edge, paper guide, blade and safety latch made out of metal. The surface area is 12" by 12" and it is also marked in centimeters. The blade is sharp, I tested it with several sheets at one time and it cut through very well. It weighs 3 1/2 pounds. It's not an industrial strength paper cutter but is great for small office type, or home use. It came from an estate sale and doesn't look like it's been used much. Condition: Has a little bit of dust/dirt in the lines on the top and there are some small pink marks probably made by a permanent marker( last photo for a close up) It has all four rubber feet and is very stable. I got this Dahle paper cutter from an auction just a month ago with some other graphic art items I wanted. I don't have use for this item. But I have to say, it looks really old and is SUPER HEAVY. It looks complete. The top of the metal base measures 10 inches x 15 1/2 inches. With the wood strip it measures 12x15.5. I think the wood strip as been added, but looks professional as it is. It needs to be cleaned and all I did to test this was cut a piece of paper. It comes with the ORIGINAL owner's manual, which is in German and English. Vintage Paper Cutter Milton Bradley Monarch Springfield Mass. Old school paper cutter. This is the 12 inch version. The cutting arm still retains a lot of the original black factory paint. The wood table has a nice mellow patina to the under surfaces. The varnish on the exposed parts looks quite good for its nearly 100 years. Nice look has a very classic vibe takes one back to another time. This item was made around the WW1 era. This item cuts rather poorly I assume the blades need to be sharpened and the metal parts oiled real well. There is a hole for a screw that the blade sits on when its resting that is missing. This item is in good useable condition with some minor wear including scuff marks and scratches but this does not effect the functionality of the item.
