During the winter season and periods of cold weather the teat surface of dairy animals is subject to added exposure especially when liquid teat dips are employed after milking. The use of liquid teat dips in cold and windy conditions will cause chapping and freezing of the teat. For this reason a powdered product was developed which contained food grade ingredients and had both bacteriocidal and healing qualities. The concept of a powdered formulation originated with two scientists following research on the bacteriocidal and healing properties of a herb. Comfrey. The active ingredients in Comfrey were identified and then duplicated in the powdered formulation from laboratory stocks. Various formulations were tested against three type bacteria; Staphylococcus aureus. Streptococcus agalactiae and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. And the best formulation and carrier was determined. Lid is a 2 spout which was used as a fresh cow bucket for pipeline or parlor setup. Could be used for many uses such as. Cool OLD Vintage Cow Show Halter with Silver Pill Trim. Halter measures as follows: Leather nose band 10-3/4 inches. Over the poll/crown 28 inches to 34 inches. Only mark I could find for maker is a 52 on both sides if the adjustable crown piece. Leather is in GREAT shape. No breaks or cracks. No missing stitching. Brass buckles. Slight rust on rings could be buffed off. Chain Lead shank is also GREAT leather with no breaks or cracks. Does appear to have been stepped on or possibly lightly chewed. This does not affect the performance of this halter.

It was purchased at a street sale in San Juan Bautista. CA, and was in daily use when I had dairy goats. I've taken care of this milk can over the years after I sold the herd of goats. There are a few very minor dents on the surface. But none that distract from the shiny appearance of this milk can. There is a larger dent on the inside rim of the lid(see photo) but this does not affect the lid's use, nor noticeable when the lid is in place on the milk can. LARGE & UNUSUAL Vtg PYREX De Laval CLEAR GLASS Dairy Milk TANK Jug RECEIVER JAR
Hello! Here’s a vintage DeLaval large clear glass milk tank receiver jar with three outlets. Made by Pyrex, and with a weight of 12 pounds. It was used to transfer the liquid to another tank or machine. The item could also perhaps be used in a laboratory or experimental environment. Seriously. The uses are endless for this unusual piece of high quality genuine Pyrex glass! It is a large tank. And we do not know exactly how many gallons it holds. There are a few minor condition issues, and it will need to be cleaned- it is offered as found, and there are some scratches“here and there” which would be a sign of normal use/ wear and tear. One issue is a very small chip on the edge on the upper left outlet. Another is what appears to be breakage on the base of the upper center outlet is infact scratching and wear. It was probably from a metal ... moreor steel apparatus this jug was used with in a working dairy. THE BASE IS NOT CRACKED! These issues could perhaps be repaired by someone who restores vintage glass or ceramic pieces if desired. The measurements are 21” from the single outlet to the top center outlet. And the tank ball is 12” wide X 14” tall(when used vertically, not horizontally as in the photos) The“DE LAVAL” acid-etched logo on top is 3-1/4” wide. The small Pyrex symbol above is also etched, not raised, and is ½” round. Each outlet is 2-1/8” wide from end-to-end, and has a 1-1/2” inner diameter. In its day. This was truly a milk bucket deluxe. Most people could not afford a bucket like this. It is partially covered to protect milk from foreign matter. This bucket needs cleaning, but does not leak. It measures 10" across the bottom, 12" across the top and is 10 1/4" from outside bottom of bucket to top of bucket rim on the outside. Inside the bucket measures 12" from bottom of bucket to top of cover. No sales outside the United States.

From a ranch estate. 1.5 lb. horn weights as shown. I got over zealous with the oil getting the old bolts out. As you can see. Weights are +/ 2"h x 2-3/8" outside diameter.
