A vintage farm cow stanchion. A somewhat unusual one, purchased from the Haff Centennial Farm in Sterling Heights, Michigan. In used& as is condition' Some surface rust. The stanchion is heavy duty U shape metal with wood attached to the inside of both sides(for your cows comfort and to prevent injury) It is in useable condition, may need maintenance oiling of moving parts etc. I only have one of this style. This is a 1947 Owner's manual for a McCormick-Deering Cream Separator manufactured by International Harvester Co. It covers models: 2-S Serial#20.000& up; 3-S Serial# 70,000& up; 4-S Serial#19,300& up, and 5-S Serial# 2,800& up. The cover has darkened and is a bit stained and some of the first few inside pages have a moisture mark(see picture) but it's not bad. Otherwise, the inside seems to be fairly clean and in good shape. No pages appear to be missing. There is also an errata sheet stapled to the inside page(not the cover) The publication date appears to be 06-15-47 and there are 48 pages.

Vintage MILK FILTER/STRAINER Funnel Shaped 12 ¼” Diameter. This is an old item I found at my grandma’s house. It is funnel shaped and made of(I think) tinned steel. It has a squeeze clamp strainer insert. Locks into place nicely. It measures 11” tall and 12 ¼” in diameter. It is in good used condition with some signs of cosmetic wear, but good for it’s age. It has a slight dent outside pushing in, below the handle. Would be a great conversation piece or has many possibilities.

My grandparents owned a large dairy farm from the late 1930s' until their deaths recently. And milk cans similar to these were used to transport milk from the dairy floor to the holding tank. My dad remembers using cans like these when he was young. This larger example of such a milk can is in very good shape, as you can see in the pictures. Sure, if one looks closely enough, as in the closeups, one can see very, very minor dents and dings and other surface imperfections, but the can otherwise is in respectable shape. You can judge its size by the tiny can of Coke(not included) placed next to the milk can in the first picture for scale. After thorough searching, I was able to find a faint stamp indicating this is a 40 quart container, but no other markings are obvious, such as a date or location of manufacture. Measures about 23" ... moretall, 14" in diameter, and weighs 27 pounds. The gold colored cherub decals and other artistry is crisp and clear for the most part. One of the cherubs is missing a small section of decal. All of which appear to have been applied in the 70's. I've added plenty of pictures, as well as a YouTube video, below, allowing you to see the can in greater detail. The information printed on the mount shows the pedigree of the bull and I think other information about this animal which has a large AR brand on his left side visible in the photo. Vintage Stainless Steel IVES ICE CREAM Can/Bucket, 20 Quart , UNIQUE!
Up for auction is a vintage stainless steel IVES ICE CREAM can/bucket/pail. It is marked 20 quarts. With a fill line indicated. The top has a slotted handle, and there are two side grip handles on the bucket itself. On one side of the bucket are raised letters: IVES ICE CREAM. Etched over the raised letters is an oval with partially-readable letters: LIQUID QUARTS 2A-MIN CREAM-CO. The bucket is 10 1/2" diameter. And about 21" tall.On one side of the lid is a partial chain, and on the other side of the lid is a hole which looks like the chain was attached, and then padlocked to the bucket itself.The lid/cover has a slight dent on one side which makes fitting the lid on- tight, and slightly-tight to get off, but easily usable. There are minor scratches and dings from normal wear- and-tear use, very little rust-type stains, no cracks ... morenor repairs. This would be excellent for use with dairy/goats, or for syrup harvest- or very collectable for the IVES brand. It is very clean and shiny!
