Vintage Babson Bros. Milker The Surge Stainless Steel Pulsator/Tubes
Feeling a little nostalgia? Bring home this vintage Babson Bros. milker and remember days as a kid on the farm. This vintage milker is stainless steel. It features 4 black tubes and the attachment for the teats. It may called the pulsator. But I wasn't exactly sure. The overall dimensions are approximately 15 x 17 in. and 12 in. tall. It is sold in as is used condition showing wear from use and storage with scratches, dings, cracking in the black tubes, discoloration and edgewear. Scroll over the photos as they are part of the description. Please note, this item is dirty on the inside and in need of cleaning. We find our items at estate sales. We wipe them off just to make sure we can see the wear, but we do not clean them because of their age and patina we handle them as little as possible. I plugged this in and the mercury switch in the front does oscillate back and forth. Could not get it to spark at the terminals and the test bulb does not blink or light up. I think this could easily be repaired as it is probably just a bad capacitor in the unit. Glass is not cracked and cord is in good shape. I would guess this dates back to the 50s or 60s. Actual video of this unit shown below Model AC Indoor/ Outdoor use. Runs on 110 volt house current. Produced by the Babson Surge Brothers which were famous for dairy equipment back in the day.
