Vintage Quality 5 Gallon Stainless Steel Milk Can by"Firestone Steel Products" of Akron. Ohio, USA This is a gently used stainless steel milk can that I've owned since 1980. It was purchased at a street sale in San Juan Bautista. CA, and was in daily use when I had dairy goats. I've taken care of this milk can over the years after I sold the herd of goats. There are a few very minor dents on the surface. But none that distract from the shiny appearance of this milk can. There is a larger dent on the inside rim of the lid(see photo) but this does not affect the lid's use, nor noticeable when the lid is in place on the milk can. There's no rust inside or out on this quality, stainless steel milk can. The name, Cal Poly Creamery, is etched on one side of this milk can. Up for sale is a 5 gallon Stainless Steel Milk Can. It has Valley Farm stenciled into the steel on one side around the top band and on the other side it has St. Louis. This can has some small dings. It has what I call a spout on towards the bottom of the can that was used in the dairy process somehow. You would have to plug it if you were to use it for a purpose other than dairy. This auction is for a vintage Babson Bros. Chicago The Surge Milker. It is a 5 gallon can that is made of stainless steel but this one has been painted brown at some time in the past and was then apparently used for display/decoration. You can see spots where the paint is worn off and the stainless steel shows. The milker is in good solid condition.
