This is a milk transfer unit that would have been used with an automatic milking machine. Overall. It is still in relatively good condition considering its age, but does show signs of use as can be expected with a piece of industrial equipment. Unique Old Vintage Dairy Farm MILKING MACHINE CROCK Agriculture Cows REDUCED!!
For sale is a rarely-seen vintage piece of dairying history. This milking crock was found in a very old dairy barn complete with its cover. Iron hanger frame, and two vacuum valves attached at its base. It is in very nice condition for its age with only one small glazing chip at the crocks base. see photo) The iron frame exhibits a surface rust patina. With the exception of a few imperfections so common in pottery making, the piece is remarkably nice. The crock measures about 13" tall by 7" in diameter. I have for sale a Stainless Steel Surge Milk Bucket only. I would say overall condition is good. There are no holes or repairs. I don't see any major dents. There are some little dents along the front edges which is common. This bucket is roughly about 16 inches in diameter by I would say a little over 7 inches high-the belly of it-not the handle-just the tub. The top opening is 7 1/2 inches outside. The inside looks clean. When I got this bucket it was dusty and dirty so I basically rinsed it off and dried it with a towel. I believe it is a 5 gallon but I am not sure. And it would probably work for one, especially on goats, but it's not as heavy duty as most milker straps. It's just seems to be solid rubber with no grommets on the holes. But still pretty tough. It measures about 1 1/2" wide. The holes measure about 3/8" across, and I believe it's around 32 feet long. It's a bit dusty. But I don't think it's ever been used. I will ship it insured. Priority mail for $6. I'm using the postage calculator on this. And sometimes it charges too much for postage.
