The name of the company in Sweden was Aktiebolaget Separator Company or AB Separator Company. In the United States the company was known as the DeLaval Separator Company and the factory was in Poughkeepsie. New York. However the separator in that patent was not continuous. It used centrifugal force to separate the cream from the milk but it had to be stopped to remove the cream. The advantage of Gustaf de Laval's invention was that the milk did not have to be separated in batches but rather the milk could be continuously separated without stopping. All the lettering and labels are pretty clear and legible. Needs to be cleaned but it looks intact and all lettering legible. All controls turn. The original manual is also included with this. I did plug it in with nothing attached to it and the motor seemed to run very good. I did not test it with everything attached. This Model 100AE Vintage CREAM SEPARATOR was purchased new in Portland Oregon and has always used on the family Century Farm. DeLaval was considered the"Cadillac" of cream separators. They were the first and most common but also the most expensive. It is in very good shape and the machine runs well. Although I don't know how to test it we buy all our milk already processed. Up for bids is this vintage DeLaval Cream Separator Metal part.This is the cast iron base. It is very heavy and I believe it is cast iron. On front of machine it says New World's Standard Series and the machine had a#18 on it. I am parting out a complete machine because it is too heavy to ship as one unit for me.
