vintage Surge Milker fom Babson brothers for cow or goat
This vintage Surge Milker by Babson Brothers was found at a local estate sale. This person collected dairy items such as milk bottles. Crates, advertising and equipment. This item seems to be in decent shape, but with a few dents and scratches. It seems to have all of the hoses(2 on each stainless steel cup) Also one long one that must connect to some other contraption. The hoses appear to be original with some cracks. I have no idea if the unit is operational. The small piece near the handle I guess is the pulsator? The inside is relatively clean. The unit is about 15 inches across and about 12 inches high. The little stainless cups are about 6 and half inches long. I hope you find my description helpful as I am not at all an expert on these items. Let me know if you have any questions. Description Vintage SURGE MILKER made by BABSON BROTHERS. Chicago, Ill. All stainless large bucket, teat cups, and the pulsator cover. It is in excellent condition, other than the rubber hoses would need to be replaced to be functional if so desired. The milker has been sitting on the shelf in the milkhouse for a number of years since the dairyman utilized them. I'm not the original owner, but was told the they were being used until the time they were place on the shelf several years ago, however, I didn't try them, nor do I know anything positive about the pulsator. I do know that the milker bucket is very clean inside and out and only has a few minor dings. The larger teat cups are very straight and totally dent free. The large rubber cups on the end of the stainless tat cylinders appear to be fine. The handle and cover retaining ... moretab may have been soldered or brazed over the years. Someone did an excellent job. Both are smooth and strong. The inside cover gasket appears to be fine. About 16-1/2" in diameter x 11.75" high to top of the handle. You are bidding on a very clean Surge Milker with the attachments shown(see pictures) Pail- Lid W/ Gasket- NO SMALL Valve- 4 Metal Cups- 4 Rubber Suction Teat Cups- Pulsator. It has one small but noticeable ding or dent on the bottom and just a some scuffs. Very nice condition. Shipping in the USA is figured by the Ebay calculator and outside of the USA is at USPS cost to your location. I have two of these listed and will combine shipping.
