This is a great introductory Flir device with estimated temperature display that allows inspection of heat and cold. Home inspection, and even checking your back yard for where your cat may be hiding. Because this device does not have the resolution of a scope, it is not generally recommended for outdoor sports, though it can be used for that purpose. In the photos above you can see me using the rainbow and white hot palettes to look at cars outside, a lamp, and objects in the fridge and freezer. The image is not super sharp because of the resolution, but it does the job.
