York made the cleaver for Ericsson. It is the same except the color. The York is grey and the Ericsson is blue. Below is stuff I took from Newport's website. I used this for quartz single mode fibers and it was always perfect. It's in excellent condition and really is much superior to the regular push down by hand cleavers(which have wrecked so many of my fibers! The York Model FK11 Electronic Fiber Cleaver. Enables every cleave substantially less than one degree. Operation is simple. A stripped fiber is placed in specially designed low torsion V-groove clamps. Constant axial tension is then applied to the fiber with the flip of a lever. Cleaving is then initiated by releasing another lever. A precision ground diamond blade is attached to a resonant acoustic stepped horn. The ultrasonic horn resonance is maintained by an electronic ... morecircuit for the duration of the cleave and then automatically terminated to preserve battery life. I believe it is for multimode fiber as the date of manufacturing is June 1979. The design is two variable ND filter wheels between a pair of fiber collimaters. The connectors are NEC D4 style. It should be easy to replace them with fiber collimators of other types of connectors. The range is from 0 to 60 dB. The inner knob continuous adjustment over 0-10 dB and the outer knob increments in steps of 10 dB. One of the positions of the outer knob is infinity attenuation(the light is totally blocked) At low dB settings one can visually see the light from a lamp at the other side through the connector. The light becomes dimmer as the attenuation increases. The knob and indicator works flawlessly. In perfect working condition.

This is some test equipment that has been sitting here at the shop for awhile. So it's time for it to go to somewhere it can be used. The 17XTA power meter works fine and the meter readings are comparable to my EXFO 920 Maxtester. Comes with a FC interface cap and carry case. The 2260XFM WAS working. But it seems to have some issues now. So this is for parts only. The battery has been removed so there is no corrosion. The outside case is in pretty good condition and the front panel is still nice. Inside looks clean. So maybe this is something that can help update or fix one of your 2260's. Due to age of this gear. Sold AS-IS WHERE-IS. Closing down the shop so it's not coming back. Thanks!
