Used Buckingham linesman tree climbing gaffs klein electrical bag 2 belts & more
I have for auction this large group of used linesman climbing gaffs and belts and other electrical climbing equipment. The Gaffs are marked buckingham. They are Catalog model 9227 they are good and solid and the point is sharp. the points have been protected. the previous owner has the spring action point caps. There are two belts. One is marked klein burke and the second belt is unmarked there is a climbing rope and other items I don't have a clue of their functions. If I had to rate the leather I would say the leather is average minus condition. the straps are canvas, so I know they are in good used condition. The leather will need to be cleaned and tung oiled. the klein bag is in good used condition. it is stained, but has no tears. the other bag has a little tear by one of the hang hooks. Vintage Military M Klein & Sons Vietnam Era Tree Climbing Gear Spurs Belts
This is a vintage set of tree climbing gear that was supposedly used by a Marine Corps sniper in Vietnam. I cannot vouch for the truth in this. But he had no reason to lie to me either. What we have are the left and right spur that definitely needs new straps. They are both stamped 16 M.Klein& Sons. They will need new padding as well. One belt is definitely military. But has no markings other than S1.69(very hard to read) stamped in black ink on the belt. The second belt has a brass manufacturer's tag that says Mine Safety Appliance Company, Pittsburgh, PA 1949. Vintage Bashlin pole climbing spikes and gear 2 belts tree climbing utilities
Up for sale we have a set of older Bashlin pole spikes. With a matching Bashlin belt, the blue green one is the Bashlin. Also there is a Atlas belt included, its the red and yellow belt, both belts look to be in very good condition. The leather straps on the spikes should be checked before using, as there showing some age, there not broken, just dirty and have some cracking on them. I'm not familiar with this type of equipment, so if there's anything you want to know about the gear ask and I will try to tell you. The spikes themselves look to be in good condition, they measure 17 1/2" from the top to the bottom of the foot rest. The spikes are stamped Grove City, PA. Any questions please ask, I will reply. Here I offer a Piece of history-Bell System Lineman gear. Everything you see in the pictures is what you get. I bought this from a Bell System employee. Let me just say-things were built to last back in the day! I am not a expert on these items. I tried to take pictures of any writing. I am selling this"as found" They show some wear-use-dusty-scuffs-scrapes. I think this would be for display. I am just not a expert on today's standard or regulations- if you can use these items today. Please do you own search. These are very heavy-the spike is still sharp. It comes with some gloves. The gloves rubber are torn. But the leather is in nice shape for its age. As you can see they kept records. Its been stamped in yellow everything it was tested. Inside the gloves there is another set of cloth gloves. I did not seen them, so thats ... morewhy you don't see them in the pictures. They are small gloves. I put the belt around me-I am a size 31.There was still lots of slack on there. I am not sure where to find the size info. These were hanging in a garage for years! Pole or Tree Climbing Gear 2 Sets of Spurs + 2 Belts - Gaffs Brooks MSA Melling
For sale is a lot of 2 sets of climbing gaffs + 2 Belts. One set of gaffs is labeled Melling Forging CO Lansing Michigan Brooks Patent No. 1956852. The other set is labeled Mine Safety Appliances Pittsburgh PA MSA Brooks Climber. They are both older, look to be in good shape, one has longer spikes than the other, the leathers look useable, but some of them have some wear and you may decide you want to replace them. The first belt(green one) is labeled Atlas Safety Equip Co Inc LC-23-C 3-45 20" It is in good shape, the other belt has some gray paint or clay/mud all over it, it is hard to read the nameplate because of the gray crud on it. I can make out WM Bashlin CO Size D26. It is in good used shape, other than the crud all over it. Combined everything weighs 19 pounds. M Klein Son Tree Pole Climbers Gaffs SZ 16 1/2 With Straps and 2 Climbing Belts
This auction is for a set of M Klein and Son pole/tree climbing gaffs and two climbing belts. The spikes measure about 1 1/4" by 2" The gaffs have old leather straps that are dry and have some cracks. There are only three straps as one is missing. There is a yellow belt that has a copper tag that shows an elephant climbing a pole. Reads" Franklin PA. SN 1272, code#6390" It appears to be made of nylon and leather. The second belt is leather with copper rivets and is also dry. It reads"Alexander Bros" These are older' vintage gaffs and belts. Before using, they would have to be inspected by an expert as I accept no liability.

This kit is dated 1945.all in original condition and patina.it needs to be cleaned up. But I'll let new owner do it.has leg spikes, climbing belt, tool belt,bunch of tool pouches, gloves, original canvas carrying bag, glove bag, I'd say when cleaned and checked it will still be completely usable.the bag is still usable, but it's starting to lose some of the thin leather on bottom.the glove bag says BASHLINS.I'm not sure if this is the makers name of whole kit.the two smaller tool pouches are dated 1945.it all appears to be from same time.selling pre-owned, as is,thanks

This is used utility pole/ tree climbing gear. I will itemize by pictures. Everything looks to me to be in good-great condition. But I am not a climber, so please study the pictures for item conditions. The first pic is an overview of everything included in the auction. The second pic shows the canvas and vinyl Klein Tools bag. The bag is marked 5102-24. The handles and straps are in good condition. There is a person's name written on the inside. The third pic is of leather pads and spike covers. The pads are marked ELEIN BUHRKE 8210 R and 8210 L. The spike covers are marked WM BASHLIN and the rest is too difficult for me to read. The fourth pic is a strap with connectors marked KL5295 5 8 M. Klein& Sons DATE ISSUED 6-71. The connectors are both also marked M. Klein& Sons. Strap and connectors seem to be in great condition. The ... morefifth pic is of a belt and tool holster. The belt is marked W.M. Bashlin Co. Size D24 Code S No. 160N. Great condition. The tool holster is marked W.M. Bashlin Co. 111-HLS Grove City. PA. It has the name Meck carved into the back. The sixth pic is another view of the belt and tool holster. The seventh. Eighth, and ninth pics show the climbing gaffs. The metal part markings are difficult to read, but I think it says Line(maybe Mine? Safety Appliance Co. Pittsburgh PA MSA Brooks Climber. They have the initials A.M. written on them in permanent marker. The leather spike covers are marked W.M Bashlin Co. Grove City, PA. The leather pads are in great condition, they have the A.M. carved into them. The green straps with buckles seem to be in great condition.
