Up for bids today is the gas mask that my Grandfather brought home from the Army. He served during WWI but stayed stateside. So this is not a combat-carried piece. I will let the pictures tell most of the story. But as you can see there are minor dents, scratches, etc that one would expect with age. The mask itself creaked and crunched a bit when I started to open it. And is very dry. So I did not attempt to unfold it. Someone out there probably knows how to re-hydrate(or whatever) it but I left it folded so as to not damage it.
