Vintage 1964 Rogers Tower Cleveland Snare Drum for Set EXCELLENT SOUND/CONDITION
Hello and thanks for visiting. I am a retired jazz drummer. I acquire drums and cymbals from fellow drummers and estates and I sell only those drums and cymbals that sound great. Here is a 5x14 Rogers Tower snare manufactured in Cleveland in 1964. Purchased new in Philadelphia by a retired drummer who took fine care of it. In a lovely silver sparkle, this snare remarkably has its original batter head! It's in fine condition for a snare nearly 50 years old. There are some rough spots on the beavertail lugs, nothing major, and the drum is free of oxidation, a very nice Cleveland era snare that sounds as fine as it looks. The Rogers Stay-Tite throw-off works flawlessly as does the internal muffler. The snare wires are aftermarket. I have it tuned high for a crisp jazz tone but this snare tunes easily down for a more blues or rock vibe. Here is a superb example of an ancient Near Eastern artifact which reflects the biblical description in Genesis of the Tower of Babel. This stamp seal dates to the approximate time of the Tower of Babel and is from the same region in Mesopotamia. What we have is a limestone seal of a ziggurat. These seals were hung by a cord over one's neck and stamped on clay documents to identify the owner. Up for sale is a fabulous wicker floor lamp from the 1920's. I'm cleaning out a 90 year old ladies house and this is one of her prized possessions. German silver besamim spice box. A besamin spice box is used during the Jewish holiday Shabbat or Sabbath and is filled with aromatic spices. This is a wonderful, tower-form spice box. The piece is raised on a trumpet form base and has a flag at the top. The center is a filigree box with a small latch to open a door on one side; the filigree work is wonderful and very decorative. The base has Hebrew characters engraved all around. This piece has a monogram of the name Zum Andenken. The bottom is marked Gifort or Eifort for the maker and bears an old Berlin hallmark used before 1886. This piece is guaranteed to be at least 800 purity silver. This piece is in great condition ... morefor its age. There are four flags missing at the corners of the top of the filigree box. As you can see in the photographs below. There are a couple of spots of missing filigree but they are very small portions and are hardly noticeable. There is no locking mechanism on the door, and appears that there never was one. For sale: Pair of Antique German Scissors Holler Germany w Leather Box Holder Tower Brand. The leather box measures about 6 inches long and the scissor about 5 3/8 and 3 3/4 inches. Each is marked with the same makers name. If you look close you can see the smallest pair is missing. I am guessing the empty slot in front was another pair of scissors? The scissors have age wear and tarnish. The box has age wear and some edge wear- damage scuffs and the tab is worn down with a crack in the leather. This can be seen in a close up photo. This stone carved tower of monkeys came from an auction in Vermont. There are 15 grining monkeys in the stack. The piece measures 4 3/4" tall. 2 3/4" wide, and 1 1/4" deep at the base. The base has some fading. It's a curious piece.

From my personal collection I am selling my HUGE Space Age Lucite Tower Floor Lamp. Lamp is NOT currently wired for use. I bought this lamp with intentions of rewiring in LED's for a quite stunning modern display. This lamp consist of 5 columns and reaches a total height of 60 inches and the base is 36 inches x 36 inches. It is a rather large and stunning piece. It really needs alot of room to display well. I am simply cleaning out some of my modern items and there is nothing wrong with the lamp. It just needs to be wired. It is a very clean and well made piece. Not cheap. I am guessing the lamp weighs a total of 60-70 lbs. Please ask questions. Unusual JUMBO Light Bulb 11" Hartford Insurance Co., Conn. Light Tower
Vintage JUMBO Light Bulb. It measures 11" long x 4 1/2" wide. In good condition with no chips. Cracks, or flakes. I do not know if this is working as the screw in section is wider than anything I could test it on. I was told that this bulb came fron the Hartford Insurance Co. in Hartford, Ct. when this man used to work, tending their large light tower. Great conversation piece. There is some writing on the end that may identify it.

TOWER LYON CHAPLIN PATENT EARLY TYPE UNPLATED I picked this up from a barn sale here in Connecticut and recognized it as an early patented type of lever cap for a hand plane. I am not certain enough to be expert. But believe this to be an early type of Chaplin's Patent or a Tower& Lyon plane part. The ones that I have seen in books are usually plated and also include a riveted chip breaker, which this one does not have nor appear to have had. The thread knob turns well.
