This is a vintage set of tree climbing gear that was supposedly used by a Marine Corps sniper in Vietnam. I cannot vouch for the truth in this. But he had no reason to lie to me either. What we have are the left and right spur that definitely needs new straps. They are both stamped 16 M.Klein& Sons. They will need new padding as well. One belt is definitely military. But has no markings other than S1.69(very hard to read) stamped in black ink on the belt. The second belt has a brass manufacturer's tag that says Mine Safety Appliance Company, Pittsburgh, PA 1949. Buckingham lineman climbing body belt utility pole climbing gear
Here is an old Buckingham body belt from 1979. I got this belt from my boss when I started on as a grunt but have since upgraded to a nicer belt. This belt has seen a lot of poles and a lot of miles but still has a lot of service in it yet. Great low cost belt if you are just getting into the industry. As you can see in the photos, one tool loop has a tear, the loop which holds down the loose end of the strap is gone, and it doesn't have a bug bag. The inner strap holding the D rings is in fine condition, as is the main strap. I have probably been up at least 80 or 90 poles with this belt. You can't see much on the name plate, other than 22-40. It is for a size 40 waist and the size is D22. The lining is a little creased but is not coming apart. I'm selling this with no reserve, and ship internationally.
