Vintage fishing items - stringers, hook holder, gaff handle and hand line holder
I have 2 really nice rope stringers and the metal points and rings appears to be copper. They are in very nice shape and can be cleaned up to display great. There is also an old snelled hook holder that is made out of metal and has a bunch of hooks on one side. It is made to put snelled hooks on both sides. There is also a hand line of some sort made by Florida Fishing Tackle Mfg. Co of St. Petersburg. Florida. The final item is a wood handle for a gaff hook(I am assuming)

Delorme InReach ANDROID - Hand Wired for Serial Line Analysis
WORKS FINE. However THIS IS NOT READY TO USE FOR HIKING. THIS HAS WIRES DANGLING OUT OF IT. This is intended for serial line protocol educational research only. The hardware version is the first ANDROID-ONLY hardware version. Not compatible with iOS. It is partially disassembled. And I have soldered to several key test points in the unit. I have tested the unit today and it works for all functions- GPS signal locks, satellite transmissions and bluetooth pairing with an Android Phone. However. If you desolder the wires and put it back together, it will be waterproof and work fine for hiking again. All original parts are included including battery bay screws, battery cover, battery bay, and battery contacts. The wires are strain-relieved with hot glue. But you should still be gentle with them. This works great when connected to a 3.3v/5v logic ... moreanalyzer. These wires are connected to monitor serial line data between the Iridium Modem and the baseband processor, and serial line data between the bluetooth module and the baseband processor. Lines are clearly labelled. A 3 foot VGA cable extends the lines, ending in 0.1" 2-pin female headers. I have added an externa 2xAA battery pack for open-case operations. Firmware is 0.1.0 on the Inreach. I don't think that is the latest firmware update, though it may be added via micro USB. Wire connections available are: GND. Bluetooth TXD Bluetooth RXD. Vintage FISHING Hand Line Outer Banks NC PRIMITIVE Hand Carved/Made Orig Wooden
Primitive wooden"hand-line" for fishing. Came from the Outer Banks of North Carolina-the area around Nag's Head and Kitty Hawk. Hand carved/whittled with original green cotton line. String is faded unevenly. Measures about 11 inches long overall. Paddle is 6.5 inches long. Unclear if paddle had a finish on it originally and it has been worn. Or if the dark places are water staining. Stick handle inserts into the paddle winder and is secured at top with a washer. Is missing its securing pin at the top. Rotates freely. I unwound much of the line and found the line knotted to a small stick at about the 32.5 foot mark. Measuring from the end of the line where the hook would be attached. From the stick to the attachment to the winder(through the hole in the winder) is another 26.5 feet of line. Wonder if this line ever caught a bluefish ... morewhen they were running? Vintage Marvel Fishing Bass and Trout Line Wood Spool Hand Twisted Linen 50 Ft
This is vintage fishing line on a black wooden spool. The paper label shows aging with a hole through the manufactures logo. But I'm sure it used to read"MARVEL. The wood spool measures 2 inches in diameter and 7/8 inch in width. The line on the spool was never used and made of hand twisted linen for bass and trout. The black paint on the spool has a couple of small chips and small traces of light blue paint on the front with two blue dots on the spools rim(see photos) A great item for the collector. VINTAGE VICTROLA MOTOR FISHING REEL BOX, HAND LINE/WIRE LINE DOWNRIGGER TROLLING
This is a vintage wind up Victrola record player spring motor that was used to power a hand lining boat fishing reel. This one is well made from wood and has metal hardware on all corners with working latches. Hinges, handle, circular crank handle plate and grommet for the line to leave the box. It measures 101/2 X 14 1/2 inches and is 8 1/2 inches high and weights approx. 18 lbs. The reel spins with a turn of the crank and has a single piece of braided copper wire and a swivel still remaining on it from back in the day. This is a very cool old reel with great patina and a two compartment removable tray and crank handle. The box itself is well made but does show wear on the lower back and bottom of the box(see pictures) but still structurally sound, more than likely from sitting in a boat full of fish! I chose not to clean, wax, stain or ... morepolyurethane the box to leave it the way it was although I think it would look great with a wood wax applied. I also found the date or Aug 4 1945 and a larger number 163 on the board that holds the motor to the box but that’s it for any other markings. I can tell you for sure my grandfather used one like this during that time frame in the Detroit River fishing for walleyes with great success. She was put into a cymbal bag and there she remained. I asked Sabian to hammer the cymbal prior to lathing(like they would normally do) but then go through an addition stage of hammering. which you can see in the photos. Very sweet cymbal! This is a beautifully crafted wooden Japanese Sumitsubo or Ink Pot with ornate dragon decoration. This belonged to a woman who was born in Ehemee. Japan and was brought to the U.S. along with other family treasures when she moved to the Northwest 45 years ago. It had been for her father who was a carpenter. The sumitsubo measures 9" long X 3 1/4" high X 4" deep and rests on a painted carved wooden stand that is 12 1/2" long X 2" high X 3 1/4" deep. There is some minor paint loss and surface scratches but overall condition is very good. This item will weigh 4 pounds packaged for shipment. There is at least about 2.000 labels in this large box"KING/ Genuine Hand Laid/ Linen Cuttyhunk/ Extra Strong/ Fish Line" with the picture of the jumping trout. It's a bright"metallic gold" finish. There is a problem with what I reckon about half of them have in various stages, a"blight" that sometimes happens on a metallic finish. I am showing one at its very worst and another(on the left side of the pair)just one spot, very minor. Many are perfect. Labels were made with no gum at back. Winner pays $6.00 for parcel post mailing of the hefty box(2 1/2 Lbs. and I also cover for loss or damage on an immediate basis. West of Chicago please add $1.50 for mailing. CANNON EASI-TROLL DOWNRIGGER: HAND-CRANKED REELw/ WIRE LINE+ CLIP & ROD HOLDER
Vintage& classic. Little used CANNON"EASI-TROLL" DOWNRIGGER UNIT, still in very good overall condition for angling use, composed of hard, black resin body with black, reinforced& Cannon" imprinted spool equipped with woven, stainless steel wire line, controlled by black handled hand crank on right side, plus line counter, and solid fiberglass arm of 20" OAL with rotating cable pully at top having an articulating head for cable control, and with wire line rigged for attachment of various weight, planers, lure combinations for either fresh or salt water. A slip-fit base on bottom of the unit is for attachment to any of CANNONs proprietary base plates of course, and a Rod Holder has been added to the back of the unit on an alloy attachment.See Photos) Condition is quite functional still, with NO cracks, dings, dents, ... morebroken/ missing parts, or other"problems" that we can see. You will require only the correct CANNON base to be ready-to-go. Additionally. Though the wire cable looks fine, it probably needs to be run-out, checked visually, and cleaned before hard use we'd guess, after a season or two on the shelf. but that's about it! Actual length is approx. 37" OAL, by about 8" in width from outside of the left plate at raised gearbox, to opposite side at end of the black poly, 3 1/4" crank handle. This lightweight yet robust Easi-Troll Downrigger stands about 10" high off any flat surface, less if the rod holder is angled forward as some folks prefer. Parts for these CANNON"Easi-Troll" Units are still widely available of course, so everything is available, and they remain quite popular with both fresh and salt water anglers searching precise depths for targeted species. This listing is for an authentic vintage antique collector's sample of barbed wire fencing. This wire features a Charles Kennedy patent. Dated August 11, 1874. This wire is called"Kennedy's Three Point Hand Applied Barb on Single Line" by collectors. ref. Hagemeier 193-B) This wire features a single heavy gauge line wire. Barbs are three pointed, made from sheet metal. One end of sheet metal is cut with three points, and points bent at right angles to sheet. Sheet is then clamped around line wire by use of a specially patented plier type tool. These barbs were purchased by the pound, and intended to be hand applied to a standing wire fence. Wire sample is a minimum of 18" in length. It shows age and use wear, with light pitting. There are two barbs, with cut fairly well centered. There is some bending of points and ... moreline wires, but no broken points. Wire is in good used condition. To facilitate multiple purchases. The photos may not be the exact wire to be mailed. The photos are, however, very representative of the sample to be mailed, in regards to length, number of barbs, barb spacing, centering of cut, weathering, and overall condition.
