Full set of lineman's climbing gear in a heavy duty locking shipping case. All top of the line gear. Bashlin gaffs. Klein model 5278N23 belt in a size 38-46, Bashlin strap, Klein adjustable hard hat, Klein model 5142 tool bag, Kunz 4.5" gauntlet gloves in a size large. It all was always packed and carried around in a heavy duty case and all of it is lightly used. The case is the most worn but that is to be expected. I was much more of a bucket truck technician(CATV, 31 years so far) but there are always times when you have to climb to get to some equipment. Bad sidecar accident has ended my days of climbing. Vintage US ARMY Pole Climbing Gear
Up for auction it an US Army signal Corps pole climbing set. The belt that goes around the pole has a button with approx a year latter date on it. I'm not sure if the spikes are original to the Army belt. I don't see any marks identifying it to the Army. I would replace the leather straps on the spikes before using. Up for auction is a vintage. Canvas linesman/climbing harness/belt. There are markings on the belt, but they are illegible. Waist would be approx. 47" or less. This item shows a fair amount of wear and age. The metal clasps and belt buckle are rusted, with an aged patina. Harness does have a musty odor.
