KLEIN& SONS- Stamped on the handle on one side: CAT. 3146 BELL SYSTEM B- This wrench was utilized by Bell Telephone construction and utility linemen and was specifically designed to fit the 5/8th inch pole hardware bolts and lags. Measures 13 inches in length. Condition is very good used with a soft surface rust patina easily cleaned. There are NO cracks or breaks in the piece. They are a complete set with the exception of one of the climbers is missing the calf strap. You can see by the photos who made them and I tried to take a picture of the back of the calf support that has the name Stringer on the leather. All in all they are in good shape with them being approx. 16" long and the spurs are around 3" Great collectable for the vintage utility collector. Klein Pole Climbers with Bashlin Pads Utility Pole ClimbIng Gear
This is a nice set of Klein Climbers. The gaffs are 1 1/2 inches and in good condition with only one significant nick. Both leather ankle straps have a lot of life left in them. There are some cracks in the top grain of the leather on one strap. The buckles will certainly outlast the leather. The climber shafts are slightly bowed so the top sleeve won't adjust all the way in. They are adjustable from 15 3/4 to 19 1/2 inches as measured from the bottom of the stirrup to the top of the sleeve. I'm not sure I would stretch them out that far though. They aren't twisted at all. The pads are Bashlin 140-DS with padding. The stitching is still good. Some thread ends have pulled out and there is that scuff I mentioned in the condition description on the inside of the one pad. All in all. These climbers are in real good shape and will ... moregive many more years of safe, reliable service. Up for auction is a vintage heavy duty linemen's belt for climbing poles. It has a secondary belt riveted to it with places for tools in the back. On the right side it has a leather attachment for tools and on the left side is a canvas bag. It comes with the clip on belt for wrapping around the pole. Klein-Buhrke 5228 Linesman Pole or Tree Climbing Utility Belt w Strap Good Used
Lightly used climbing belt w strap. Both in very good condition. Aluminium tag reads Klein-Buhrke, Model 5228, Serial 54357, Date Mfg 1-70. Although this is an older belt, it is very well made and has been kept in great condition. Well padded with heavy duty ring and clips. Leather is still solid but pliable, stitching and rivets are all tight. Please view all my photos and you'll see how nice this belt is. Fastened in the outer hole, waist belt measures 45" around the inside and can be used up to 8 1/2" smaller- 36 1/2" at tightest hole. Previous owner has added an extra hole between the first and second tightest holes. Looks like previous owner has cut off two leather tabs of some sort that would have hung at lower left and right on the belt(see photos) Pole strap is 1 3/4" wide heavy reinforced nylon( and is shown ... moreat 52" total length with lots of adjustment left in either direction. If you need me to be more specific as to length adjustments please ask. Heavy duty hooks/closures, all rivets are tight and I see no cuts or worn spots.
