I came across an old Bell Systems Tool bag. I'm parting out the items from inside it. These are the Braces with the spikes on the heel to help the Lineman climb the pole. The Leather is Imprinted- Bell System B Steel Brace is stamped- Bell System F. Buckingham 1-77. WE 14724 These are from 1977. Great condition! The straps that wrap around the boot are worn. Probably best to be replaced if you're going to use them.

Buckingham Tree Pole Lineman Climbing Belt and Bashlin Lanyard
This is a Buckingham climbing belt and a Bashlin Industries Lanyard. The belt is a size 28. I do not know what the size chart is for the sizing. I have a size 33 waist and this belt is too big for me in the smallest hole by a couple of inches. I would guess it a 35-36 up to a 43-44 waist size. It is dated 11/98 and it is in excellent condition. The lanyard is a Bashlin. It is made of two very heavy leather straps sewn together with what looks like may be a nylon material between the leather straps. It has the numbers 78-C on it. It is adjustable from 4 foot to 6 foot. I would rate it in good condition for it's age as well. Because of the nature of these items they are being sold"as is" no warranty is expressed or implied. I'm parting out an old Bell Systems Tool Bag that I came across. The leather tool belt is solid and flexible. The copper rivets have green tarnish. I cleaned a few of them. It is dated 1963. The Pole/Tree Climbing Strap is solid and flexible& the hooks work properly. It clamps right onto the tool belt. The belt stamped Klein Kord on it and the metal is dated 1973. The buckles and clasps are forged steel or aluminum. The rivets and tags on the belt are copper and steel. Very well made to have lasted this long.

Length is adjustable of course. The fellow I got this unit from was using it right along. But just because he or I climbed with it does not mean you should. Have the strap checked out by an expert first. There are some substantial gouges in the strap which are shown in the pictures. The strap is super tough neoprene-impregnated nylon. But is damaged, so make sure an expert passes judgment on it before using(unless you want it for parts or for a decorative wall hanger) There are VERY few 10’ safety’s to be found in the field& these are quite expensive if you do find them.
