Vintage 1945 W.H. Buckingham Lineman Gaffs / Hooks / Spikes - Pole Climbing
Vintage W. H. Buckingham Lineman Hooks 1945 For auction is a nice collectable set of L& R lineman hooks produced by the W.H. Buckingham Mfg. Co. of Binghamton. N.Y. The left& right hook are both labeled with 15 1/4 F. Not sure what that means and I can barely make out the 1/4 so I am kind of guessing on that part. Please see the photos and form your own opinion as to what that means. The foot straps are also embossed with Buckingham Condition: The steel parts have some light surface rust. The copper rivets all look good. Some leather shows signs of leather rot. This is worst on the little strap that holds on the one gaff shield. It is very fragile. I did clean the leather up some and put some leather conditioner on it. It remains still very dirty from years of storage, but remarkably flexible for leather that is 68 years old. I am ... moreselling these as a collector item only. That these hooks are safe to climb with is not stated or implied in this listing. Items are being sold as is. Now with that out of the way. U.S. ARMY Signal Corp Lineman's Pliers & Knife
U.S. ARMY SIGNAL CORPS lineman pliers& knife in Buckingham Leather holster. These are very nice AMERICAN MADE tools used for electricians in the Army's Signal Corp. I bought these from a Iraq veteran who was trying to rid his life of all things Army. The pliers are not marked. But the quality is excellent. They will need a light oil rub with steel wool and perhaps the cutter ends sharpened. The knife has 2 blades, one with a straight screwdriver at the end. It has a locking mechanism to ensure it does not fold while using. It is made by CAMILLUS OF N.Y. I would suggest a sharpening on this also. The leather case is well made and has a double snap which both work fine. There are loops in the back to hang it on your belt. This is a great lineman's tool and proof that the US spares no expense for our soldiers. at least in this regard)

Remington discontinued their line of cutlery in 1940. So it cannot be dated later than that. This knife is still in very nice condition. The ebony wood handle is in excellent damage free condition. The knife blade looks like it has been sharpened a few times. But it is still in great condition. The other blade is still in great condition as well. For auction is a pretty nice Pole Climber Belt and the safety strap. I would consider this to be in good used condition. The tag says size 22 RT. Hope you know what that means. It will not fit me at a size 40 but I think it will fit a 36 and down. The tag says R.H. Buhrke Co. Inc. Mfd 2 79. I think given the age this equip. is in very useable condition. No cracking of the leather. The belt is all leather the best I can tell. The safety belt is what I believe to be a think canvass but is in good condition also. A telephone lineman's cable cutter. Manufactured by UTICA, marked BELL SYSTEM on the blade. On the leather handle, it is marked WE24106, and then marked twice with a capital E. Overall length is 9 1/4 inches, having a blade that is 4 3/4" long. There is a slight bit of distortion to the back of the blade where is was struck with a hammer, and there are a couple of spots of light pitting on the reverse of the blade up near the toe. Overall condition would rate Good Plus. This tool is still very usable. This will ship in a small USPS Flat Rate Box.

Vintage Lineman Rotary Dial Phone Tester & Photo of Repairman by Truck Ma Bell
You are bidding on a vintage Telephone Lineman Repairman's Rotary Dial Phone Tester. Plus. I am including a picture of a repairman standing by his Ma Bell truck. I have no way of knowing if this test phone was used by the man in the picture or not but it probably was his tester because I got both items at an estate auction. They were in two different boxes though so that's why I can't be sure if it's his or not. There are no marks on the test phone at all so I do not know the manufacturer. It's a pretty neat old phone though. It is very heavy(about 2 lb. 4 oz. I am selling them as is the way I found them at an estate auction. I will combine to save the buyer shipping costs on my items.
