ANTIQUE VINTAGE TELEPHONE BECO LINEMAN SET PHONE
This is the first time I've ever come across a phone like this. From the information I received. It is a'BECO' Lineman's phone. It still has the vintage/antique cloth type material over the wires and still has the metal clips on each end of the wires. It's a rotary dial. The top part of the rotary dial seems to be a metal material? I think the ear piece is a bakelite material? But. On some of it there's a rubbery type of material on top/surface but not sure what type of material it's over. There's a silver color metal switch that flips on and off plus a bigger metal hook/clip on one side. The longest part measures approximately 10 1/2 inches side to side. This is the personal Belt belonging to the husband and was given to him when he retired from the telephone company. It was stored in the attic of his home. It shows some cracks in the leather. Rust here and there and some oxidizing from condensation. It is marked Bashlin and Grove City, PA. It is 36" when measuring the inside circumference of the Belt around to the 4th notch. The waist is a thick rigid leather. It has two thick metal hooks. A side pouch and a leather strap with a metal hanger. The Belt is structurally sound and is not broken, ripped or torn. Not 100% certain what these are- always assumed they were climbing spikes. Though they are vastly different from anything used nowadays. He said this was a back pack used by the lineman when they had to hike back in the hills to repair power lines. I could not find any Homestake markings on the pack. Vintage Bell Systems Buckingham Lineman Tree/Pole Climbing Spikes Full Set
This is a nice old vintage set of Bell Systems/Buckingham tree/pole climbing spikes. With the belt, harness, and bag to carry it all in. The spikes themselves are Bell/Buckingham, the leather leg straps are A.E. Burgess, and I believe the belt and harness are Klein-Buhrke. They are definitely used. But in perfectly usable shape. The harness obviously has more wear than anything due to the nature of its job. The spikes are in good shape-nice and sharp.with the caps. The belt has a tag that reads: Bell Systems"F Belt" Size 24. I'm not sure what the size code means. But it is 51" from tip to tip and fits my appx. 38" waist with ease. When buckled, there are still 5 notches left in the belt/8 more inches of room. Bag is pretty dusty/dirty. As it has been sitting in my shop for years. I bought these from a guy years ago, ... morebut have since decided that I am far too fat and accident prone to tempt fate. Klein Lineman Tree Pole Climbing Safety Equipment Strap
Offered is a Klein lineman tree pole climbing safety strap in good condition. Shows signs of light wear. Clip springs are strong and move freely. Please note that originally that both clips have the double safety feature where you use both thumb and index finger to open. But on one clip the thumb part of the safety feature has been disabled. Please see the disabled clip on the left side of the third pic and right side of the last pic. Note the disable part is on the same clip and it's the clip on the riveted end of the strap.
