We are offering a CD202- an insulator embossed on the skirt Hemingray- 53 and on the reverse Made In U.S.A. has sharp drip points with four having slight damage- color is a nice Hemingray Blue. When held up to a light you can see fizzy bubbles throughout the insulator and some milky white bubble swirls(see picture) It has on the dome/crown 1/8 peck. Fleabite and some light scratches- slight rub in each groove groove- between the grooves couple tiny fleabites and some light scratches- fleabite on the'R' in Hemingray- moldline at base has couple areas of roughness- inside the inner skirt 1/4 inch pecking, 1/4 inch fisheye, 3/16 fisheye with peck- where the threads begin 1/8 peck- stress cracks thread area. Insulators CD145 GNW Tel Co Beehive Insulator Two Tone
We are offering a CD145- a beehive shaped insulator embossed on the skirt G.N.W. Tel. Co. has a smooth base- color is two toned with Royal Purple from the dome to the wire groove and lighter from the groove down. I see some bubbles and a bit of debris in the glass- some strawmarks on the glass- stress cracks skirt area and where threads begin. It has on the dome/crown some scuffs. Scratches, pecks, small fisheye- 1/8 peck top edge of the wire groove- rubbing in and below the wire groove- skirt just under the wire groove 5/16 shallow chip, few lights scratches, 1/2 inch long/thin pecks- moldline at base 1/4 inch roughness- base couple small light scratches- 1/4 inch chip thread area. Set of Four Very Nice Cable Top Porcelain Insulators - Superb Condition!!!
Set of Four Very Nice Cable Top Porcelain Insulators- Superb Condition! Each of these insulators are different designs. Starting on the left. I believe these are Chance U-782A. Locke U-481. Victor U-473. And the last is labeled K8 in the saddle and is a U-634. Not that there is that much to say. But here is the condition report: The chocolate brown Chance insulator looks very clean except for a small shallow chip to the tip of an ear. And a light scuff mark on the inside edge of the base. I see nothing wrong with the very glossy and boldly embossed Locke insulator which is a reddish/mahogany glaze. There is a small chip to the underside of one of the ears on the grayish/brown Victor insulator. I see nothing wrong with the pumpkin colored K8 except for t wo tiny flea bites to the b ase edge. And some very light scuffing to two small areas ... moreof the skirt. These are very clean and shiny and most anyone would just call them very near mint condition. We are offering a CD257- a cable top insulator also known as a Mickey Mouse- has sharp drip points- color is in my opinion a beautiful. Rich green with lots of swirls. See some bubbles and bits of debris in the glass- some strawmarks on the glass. It does have some pecks, pings, fisheyes, fleabites, chips, a two inch'bruise' with fleabites on the edge of the rear crown with not much glass gone(see picture) rub in the top cable area. Two Nice Lynchburg NO. 44 glass telephone insulators. One light blue aqua and the other is a dark gingerale color. The aqua piece has a thumbnail size chip on the inner skirt and a small bruise on the lower wire groove on the reverse side. The gingerale piece does not have any damage except for a tiny flea bite on the dome. Please email any questions.

3 Scarce BROOKFIELD Insulators CD162 Multi Colored CD151 Electric Blue and CD1
First is what I call a multi colored variant of the CD 162 insulator. It is embossed on the dome with a crude 01 or 10. On front skirt with BROOKFIELD, and on reverse skirt NEW YORK. Smooth Base. When held to inside or outside light it shows some blues and greens and ambers. This insulator has some appealing MAJOR AMBER SWIRLS. It stands approximately 3 7/8” tall and has a base diameter of approximately 3 1/8” It has a ¼” chip on the inner skirt at bottom.A 5/8” chip on outer skirt at bottom, and some minor usual in manufacture overfill glass chipping at seem of base. It also has a 3/8” flash(very hard to see) on reverse crown near top. See the pictures for details and condition. You decide the colors and condition. It displays wonderfully. A real good one with curb appeal and heavy amber swirls! The second is a CD 151 embossed on the ... morefront crown with a large 1/ W. BROOKFIELD(arc) NEW YORK. It has a mold line over dome and a smooth base. It stands approximately 4 1/8” tall and has a base diameter of approximately 3 3/8” It has a fair number of white“snow”inclusions spread throughout the glass and i t is in a rare ELECTRIC BLUE COLOR(see Color Plate ii of A HISTORY AND GUIDE TO NORTH AMERICAN GLASS PINTYPE INSULATORS. By John and Carol McDougald, 1990 for color illustration) It’s a scarce one with real good display appeal. See pictures for details and condition. You decide the colors and condition. Don’t see this one much either– much less in this color with the inclusions of white. The third item is a variant of the CD#127 Brookfield insulator. It is embossed on the front crown W.U.T.CO. CAUVETS PAT/ W. BROOKFIELD and on the reverse crown 8/ FEB 22 70. NO 55 FULTON ST N.Y. It has a mold line over dome and is smooth based. It is a blue aqua color. NOTE THE IRREGULAR THREADS– HIGH ON ONE SIDE AND LOWER ON THE OTHER. A few small wire groove chips and one small crown ding otherwise quite nice. This is a lot of 16 hemingray# 9 insulators. They are all the same Patent May 2 1893. There are 9 that have none of the teeth missing on the bottom. The rest have 1-4 teeth missing on the bottom. There are no chips in them. I took a pictire of the WORST 3 in the whole group and and as you can tell they are still very nice with a couple teeth missing. Three Porcelain Strain Strains Johnny Ball Insulators- Shiny& Beautiful Glaze& Very Near Mint! These are three very different strains. But all are in very fine condition with a super high gloss glaze finish. The largest is approximately 6 3/4" long X 3 5/8" wide. This one has a really beautiful gray and black mottled appearance with some reddish highlights. In the lower left of the first picture. The smallest insulator is 3 5/8" long and 2" wide. The one in the lower right(embossed"V" in a box for Victor) is 3 3/4" long and3 3/8" wide. There are no chips or cracks on the smaller ones. And only two rub marks(only the glaze is removed) on the larger one as shown in the second picture on the right end. You may see some light fine scratches in the glaze on any of these three by examining the pictures. ... moreBut in normal light this is invisible. These will be quite attra ctive when displayed. The collector picked these up near a concrete company in the Ottawa. Illinois area. He told me they were still in use in this condition. The cleaned insulator is embossed HEMINGRAY/ NO 2 CABLE/ PAT.MAY 2ND 1893. The cleaned insulator has some damage to 4 drip points and a small bruise on 3 drips. THREE! BEAUTIFUL BROOKFIELD TOLL INSULATORS
Up for auction are these three very pretty Brookfield CD-121toll insulators. All are in great condition. All are embossed Brookfield on the front skirt. The two outside ones have five blotout dots on the rear skirts and are yellow green in color. The middle one is a great shade of green. It has a couple very small dings on the upper wire ridge and a couple pinhead flea bites. The one on the right has a very small chip on the bottom of he base.otherwise perfect and the one on the left has a very small chip on the upper ridge and another small chip on the bottom of the base. They are all 3.75 inches wide on the bottom and 4.25 inches Tall. They have the blue green aqua color. There is also"teeth" around the outside on the bottom. One is missing one"tooth" and also has a chip on the outside middle ring. There is one number 42 and there are two number 40's. The number 42 has"made in usa" on it as well as the"Hemingray" name. Set of Five Very Nice Ohio Brass Porcelain Insulators - Excellent Condition!!!
Set of Five Very Nice Ohio Brass Porcelain Insulators- Excellent Condition! All of these Ohio Brass insulators are strongly embossed with the OB maker's mark. The first picture has the insulators oriented in an attempt to clearly show those marks. Though the rear row right white insulator is difficult to photograph and the embossing is the weakest of this lot. From left to right. I believe these are U-625A(light gray/blue gray) U-625B(chocolate brown? U-630A(creamy white) in the back row, and two U-447's(brown with mottled black and slightly reddish brown) in the front row. Not that there is that much to say. But here is the"damage" report: U-625A- a base chip and and inner skirt chip. U-625B and U-630A- no damage. U-447 left- four small rub marks. One on the tip of each ear, plus a tiny chip on one of the ears, and a small ... moreinner skirt chip. U-447 right- no damage. These are very clean and shiny and are in very near mint condition. I try to do the best I can describing the porcelain insulators I offer for sale. And I try to get the"U" design numbers correct as well, but I am certainly no expert. This batch was difficult for me so I apologize in advance if there are errors in my assignments. However. A ll in all. These are some nice pieces, especially for the OB collector. Up for bid here is a group of 5 Antique-Vintage Ceramic& Glass Insulators that were used on telephone and electric poles. I got a bunch of these types of old insulators at a local auction and I'm just going to fit as many as I think that I can safely fit inside a medium flat rate box and sell them that way. As for this group. You will be getting one aqua green glass Hemingray 42, one clear glass Pyrex AH, and 3 Brown Ceramic type insulators. First. The Hemingray 42 aqua blue glass insulator stands about 4 inches tall and it is 3-3/4 inches in diameter on the bottom. As for condition, it is chipped in one spot on the bottom in an area about 8 teeth wide. Plus, you can see the glass kind of fractured inside up about 3/4 of an inch inside but the outside is fine. Other than that, this insulator is in good condition. There is some wood treatment type stain down on the bottom of it. Next up are three brown ceramic type insulators and only one is marked. The first one that I'll talk about is the biggest one. It stands 4 inches tall and it is 3-3/4 inches in diameter on the bottom. It's in good condition but I do see one small chip up on top. The next on is the marked insulator and it has a"W" on it and I think an"E" under that. Western Electric? I'm not sure but that's a guess. Or. Westinghouse, I suppose. The font does look familiar. In any case, this one is in good shape but I do see a chip on the bottom. It is about 3-5/8 inches tall and the bottom outside diameter is 3-1/8 inches. Finally, there's another brown ceramic insulator that has one small chip and another medium sized chip in it. It stands 3-1/2 inches tall and the bottom outside

It is faintly bluish green glass(beautiful displayed in sunlight) with an inner skirt and the coiling begins further up into the top of the dome only. It is a Hemingway- 42 with Made in the U.S.A. imprinted on the skirt. The beaded edge of the skirt is entirely intact.
