Up for auction is a Buckingham tree/pole climbing spikes. Catalog number 9142, manufactured 2/83. These are in good useable condition; there is slight surface rust on a few areas of the steel parts. The leather straps are supple and the buckles are in good shape, however there is a bit of a musty odor to the leather. The Troll climbing harness is made in England. The belt is about 44" long in total; too small for me to try on as I have a 38" waist. Vintage Buckingham Tree Climbing Belt & Klein Tree Spikes Gaffs Linesman Belt
You are bidding on a set of climbing tools. One is a Buckingham Climbing belt and two are Klein Tools Climbing spikes and Safety Strap. Both the climbing belt and spikes are vintage used equipment. The spikes are 15" from top to spike and 16" tall from top to bottom. The leather straps need to be replaced. Melling Co Tree Climbing Gear Gaffs/Spikes Arborist Spurs Logger Trimmer
This is a set of Vintage Melling Forging Company climbing spikes. It includes the spikes or gaffs along with the belt. The leather needs to be conditioned but is still in very good shape for its age. The only flaw is there is one rivet missing on one of the leg spikes. These are pretty much ready to be used or to be hung on the wall. They are a great functional piece of history and were used in the forest locally for climbing and limbing. Buckingham steel pole/tree climbing spikes gaffs 3120
Items come as pictured. The spikes look very nice. Steel parts appear to be in very good condition. On the leather it says 3120. I did take a close up of the only problem I found and that was on one side of one spike where the leather has a tear or been cut. I assume that can be repaired or replace and this would be a great set of climbing spikes. Other than that a very nice set of spikes. GOOD LUCK

Buckingham Climbing Spikes Tree Lineman Gaffs Rose Safety Belt Harness LC-5 16
Pair of older Buckingham spikes and Rose climbing belt. I'm no expert on either so feel free to ask questions regarding condition. The one is missing the foot strap which can be purchased on the Buckingham website. The leg pads show obvious wear and the leather straps show wear and have some age cracking. The gaffs have been re-sharpened at some time it appears. Model LC-5 16" The Rose manufacturing belt is in nice used condition. This auction features a really nice pair of Klein Tools#8210 climbing spikes or gaffs. They are in great condition and were only worn a couple of times before being stored away. You can see just how nice they really are in my pictures. The metal spikes measure 10" from the top to the sharp point. Each calf strap has the number 5301 9.each of the lower straps that are hooked to the ring have the numbers 5301 26. Both of the climbers have the Klein Tools name stamped on them along with the number 8210 L for the left climber and 8210 R for the right climber. Up for sale is a used set of Bell System Burgess model 1-83 climbing spikes/spurs. I really don't know a whole lot about these. I bought them off of someone on ebay over 3 years ago with the intention of doing some climbing to clear some trees on my property. I have had an injury that has kept me from using them. I loaned them to a friend. And he stated that they worked fine for him. I'm not going to be using them any time soon, so it is time to sell. These are used. And seem to be in decent condition. The leather is in okay shape, there are some cracks and a lot of dust and a little bit of mold on them(can be easily wiped off) The buckles all look like they work okay. The padding seems thick, and there is some form of silver gunk on the inside of one of the pads(see photo, not sure if the previous owner patched them or something) ... moreIf you have any questions. I bought these brand new and paid nearly 300.oo for them and only tried them on never climbed with them at all bought them for hunting to get up to my many tree stands with out having to put up steps so thieves could not steel ... moremy stands. Also bought a Trophy line tree saddle to use them with. But an unfortunate accident that broke one of my legs and fractured the other left me not being able to climb so I am offering these up cheep. at a low starting price. I wish I could say they are new but being I camouflaged them with olive drab and tried them on I cant put them on ebay as new. But I will stand by my word to the buyer that when they get them they will see no signs of wear even the holes for the buckles are tight and no signs of wear on the leather all good padding and leather and rings and buckles are perfect. These are the long spiked ones for gripping into thick barked trees see pics. I dont know what else I can say for these but they are in perfect working order nothing to replace. Vintage Power Pole or Tree Climbing Equipment Gaffs Belt Straps The Gaffs are marked Miller Patent Applied For. They measure approximately 17 3/8” from top of metal to the end of the spike. The leather straps are marked with a 27 or 2.7 not sure…see photos. The belt straps have had extra holes made to shorten the size. The large leather belt is marked on the buckles Miller Equip Co Franklin Penna Tested 4086 tested. The belt sizing measurement I am giving is laid flat measuring from the tongue to the first hole which is 37” to the last hole. 45”see photo. Belt is heavy and worn with some broken stitches. Cloth covered positioning strap hardware is marked M. Klein& with the number WE43045 on the metal strip that attaches the belt to snap hook also marked Bell System D M. Klein& Sons 7-62. The belt is about 5 ½’ long. Condition ... moreis good. Positioning rope is marked on the snap hook Buhrke Co Chicago Tested. I did the best I could with the descriptions by looking at the Klein website but if you need more info just ask. I cannot say for sure but I would think this equipment would be for decorative. Collector use and would be outdated for use.
