Up for auction is this nice used set of Bashlin tree/pole climbing gaffs/spikes 140-DS made in Grove city PA. And comes with the Rose manufacturing co. Climbing/ safety belt. The leather and straps on the climbers are in good condition just a little stiff, gaffs are still sharp. The safety belt I don't know how to tell exactly what size it is but I put it on and I have a 36" waist and it had three holes of adjustment on each side of the hole that fit me. Very nice used Climbing gaffs. They are made by Bashlin They are marked in the base with L BD-6BC. These are the adjustable length models. The Pads and straps are comfortable and there are extras. Everything is in very good condition I think. And are ready to use. The spikes are about an 1 3/4' long. They are sharp and have been protected with spike covers. Great Gaffs at a fraction of there original costs. Please ask questions and see pictures. I bought these because I thought it would be good exercise and I could trim some branches from tall pines in my yard. I only used them three times- it is definitely a good work out. I purchased them at a garage sale from a ol' timer during a recent road trip to the Gold Country. Lake Tahoe Basin near Truckee, CA. The guy I bought them from was quite a character. he couldn't actually remember how long or where he got the Spikes but said they'd been around for a loooooooong time sitting outside in the weather. I couldn't leave them behind and just had to rescue them and now I'm looking for someone who would like to have some old Gold Country History hanging on their wall. No telling how many trees were fallen in the Tahoe area by a person wearing these. if they could only talk! I'm not sure of the model number of exactly how to size them. as they sit they measure 17" top to bottom. Without the extenders that slide on the shaft(these don't slide they are rusted) the shaft top to bottom is 14" if that helps to determine the model? The straps appear to be of heavy canvas. The gaffs are marked 4-54 Buckingham Bell system A 17 inch. The 2 straps are marked Klein, they are 5 foot + long. one marked KL-5295-58 the other just Klein on a buckle. The Belt say's Klein Tools 5266N-22 38-46 with 1-78 date. I tried it on. If you are going to use it a better size range would be 32 to 40 Inches. My waist size is 38 inches and I used the 2nd to last hole when putting it on. $16 shipping to lower 48.

Climbing belt size 20 model 2951 with strap, gloves, tool pouch and carrying case. All of the gear is used military surplus. The hooks show wear, and there is some surface rust on the bottom. They are missing the top strap, the screws that hold the top bar in place, and the pins to hold the spurs. Both hooks have a"R" on the bottom, but one has a left pad on the top. The belt is stiff and will need to be worked to loosen it back up. We have never used this kind of equipment. If you have questions or need more pics please contact us.
