This is a cool Antique. Piece of Chicago history. It features gold leaf edging, Outer Drive, Union Station, the Old Ware Tower, Buckingham Fountain, the original design of Soldier Field. This plate must be from the late 1950's to early 1960's. Rare Blue Tumbler w/ Buckingham Fountain Illus Century Of Progress 1933 Chicago
This auction is for a very rare blue glass iced tea footed tumbler issued for the 1933 Century of Progress. 5 5/8" tall. 3 3/4" top diameter. Added gilt to top edge and a ring on the foot and around the unusual illustration to the front. This tumbler shows Buckingham Fountain on Chicago's lakefront in Grant Park near the site of the Fair. I believe these illustrations were produced by hand painting an enamel panel on the surface, white at the bottom and blue at the top to simulate the sky. On this panel a sepia toned print was added. Also the quality of the glass is far superior to that usually found in souvenirs. It's more like Cambridge or Fostoria in quality. See my other listings for additional pieces. Condition is mint. I am offering my old Klein steel utility pole climbers model B9426. As I recently got a new pair myself. Metal in good shape with some paint ware& a little slight surface rust in spots from normal wear. Gaffs are in good shape. Ready to climb. They come with Buckingham model 3502"C" pads. Which have metal C shaped inserts in them, much nicer than standard"L" pads. These pads also have Velcro wrap around fasteners. Again much nicer and easier than standard strap& buckle. Feet straps are impregnated nylon which holds up much better then standard leather straps. Also comes with gaff guards pictured. Overall a nice set of climbers with plenty of climbs left.

I believe it to be made from some sort of pot metal. Plaque weighs approx. 3 1/4 pounds. The Buckingham served as an escort out of Halifax. Nova Scotia in the latter part of WWII.This item has a small amount of paint loss close to the center of the crown at the top and also on the lower left on the rope. ORIGINAL Vintage'60s Vox Super Reverb Buckingham Guitar Amp Head- PLAYER! Spring Reverb! Serious Tremolo! USA! SOLID STATE AMP NEVER heard a solid state amp sound like this! Played it for about an hour with my Firebird. Crank it up a little- get tube-amp like smooth overdrive! Crank it all the way- get a sort of compression effect with a volume'swell' This came to me with all but 2 knobs missing. Put as many knobs from my parts box back on that I had- quite an assortment there! This amp has had some internal changes over the years. The rotary on/off/standby switch(standby on a solid-state amp? has been replaced with simple on/off. One speaker output has been turned in to a 1/4" jack. More convenient for sure. Not sure if any other internal changes as well. One problem contro l- the bass knob on the'Normal' channel ... moredoesn't really do anything. The reverb is a little different than what I am used to. Has a blend control which cuts volume a bit as it is advanced to increased reverb. Best result seemed to be in about the middle range. I have never owned a similar period Vox amp.So I don't know if this is normal. Would also recommend conversion to grounded plug for safety and a check out by a qualified tech before extended use. Cool things: tremolo is really deep! All three channels have very different gain and voice characteristics. If you could make a A/B/C channel switching box. This would be incredible! Also- the M/R/B effect is quite similar to some of the positions on a Vox Wah pedal! The amp is working, but sold'as-is' due to age. SOLID STATE AMP Jump on this opportunity! TERMS OF SALE: Used electronics item. Known to be working at time of sale. NO WARRANTY.
