Buckingham 1 -93 Climbing Spikes
Buckingham 1-93 with an f over buckingham on the back of spikes. They measure 19" with adjustable length. It looks like they shorten 21/2" Spikes are 1 3/4" long on inner measurement& 3 inches end to point. They are used with light surface rust. Some wear on leather, straps look good. I know nothing about climbing gear. But friend told me that the shorter spikes are for climbing poles. Payment is due within 48 hours after the close of the listing. All hardware. Seams and stitching appears to be in good condition. There are some scuffs and marks. The waist belt measures approx 45" from buckle to tongue end. I wear a 35" waist pants. These climbing spikes are in good used condition with normal signs of use. Cosmetically there are scuffs. Scratches, and surface rust, but it does not seem to effect the integrity of the item. They measure 17 1/2 inches from the top of the legging to the bottom of the spike when fully extended. When fully closed they measure 16 inches from top of the legging to the bottom of the spike. The boot trough ranges from 4 3/4 inches at the top to 3 inches at the base. These gaffs are being sold without any leather straps. Overall a good used pair of gaffs. Let me just say-things were built to last back in the day! I am not a expert on these items. I tried to take pictures of any writing. I am selling this"as found" They show some wear-use-dusty-scuffs-scrapes. I think this would be for display. I am just not a expert on today's standard or regulations- if you can use these items today. Please do you own search. These are very heavy-the spike is still sharp. It comes with some gloves. The gloves rubber are torn. But the leather is in nice shape for its age. As you can see they kept records. Its been stamped in yellow everything it was tested. Inside the gloves there is another set of cloth gloves. I did not seen them, so thats ... morewhy you don't see them in the pictures. They are small gloves. I put the belt around me-I am a size 31.There was still lots of slack on there. I am not sure where to find the size info. These were hanging in a garage for years!
