ON A CAST IRON BASE AND WHEELS WITH A NICE FRENCH LOOK. This is an older dress form with a great look. It is a woman's body with the metal cage bottom and ornate cast iron base with wood wheels. The cage skirt is flat metal. The metal base has a stunning ornate design with the old black paint and says Acme form. It has a wonderful shape and incredible look with the body is adjustable. Some of the metal has rust on it. It adjusts up and down with the metal and the body is adjustable. Although some of the hardware is rusty, but they still move. It has a cast iron base with an adjustable height from 62 ½ inches high when adjusted all the way up and down to 35 inches high when lowered all the way down. The height measurements are to the knob on top. The knob on top is for the upper sections and the wing nuts on the inside are for the lower sections. This is a pretty pink 1950's or 1960's era plastic dress form. It is adjustable. So it can be made bigger to suit your needs. The smallest measurements of it are: 37" Bust, 27" Waist and 35" Hip. It come with a pin cup for storing sewing pins. There are some things to note: 1. It is missing one of it's rubber feet caps. 2. It's a bit dusty/dirty from being stored in a garage. 3. Vintage collapsible Dressmaker form with cage. This form will extend as tall as your window top if needed. In the last picture thst is a yardstick showing the clearance under the cage while the mannequinn is fully extended up. This is called the Better Model Form. It looks exactly like a wolf model. This is a size 16. Very heavy base. I have had this for years. I am downsizing my art studio pieces. I hope she goes to a new home where she will be utilized. VINTAGE "LANE BRYANT" FULL FIGURE DRESS FORM, MANNEQUIN
Up for your consideration is a vintage"Lane Bryant" full figure dress form/mannequin. It stands 61" tall. The top features a round cast iron ball finial. On the base of the neck is stapled a plastic piece with the forms measurements. Just below the waist are the words Palmenbury Cavanaugh and near the bottom are the words Lane Bryant#47. The form has some small wear spots in the covering and some of the stitching on the sides are loose but nothing serious. There is a wire basket skirt attached below the figure. The wire has some surface rust but is all intact. Nothing broken. The rolling base stand is heavy steel with a double set of metal rollers on the bottom of each of the 4 legs. There are raised letters on the metal that say Cavanaugh Model Form Co. New York. The rollers are working but would roll smoother after being ... moreoiled.
