DESCRIPTION: Offered is rare early Cavanaugh and Palmenberg Model form mannequin. 1956 18. Cast iron base. Metal cage, upholstered body, metal shoulder covers and aluminum or tin neck cap. The dress form is missing it's screw-on finial. Nice stenciled name on chest and model number on lower body edge. It raises from a base height of 58" to more than 80" using the foot pump as a lock/unlocking mechanism(raise mannequin by lifting inner pole) DIMENSIONS: Height from 58" 80"+. Base is 13" x 13" Form is 50.5" tall from bottom of cage to top of neck. Upholstered form measurements(I used a flexible metal tape measure so the following are estimates) Bust: 39" Waist: 31" Hips: 41" CONDITION: There is some staining and slight areas of fabric abrasions and loss at edges. Vintage WOLF Model Dress Form Mannequin. Model 1949 Size 12 Collapsible. Nice!
I have for sale a vintage Wolf Model Form Co. Inc. dress form. It is model 1949-50. Size 12. The entire height is 62" The torso alone without the wire measures 35" It has a 35" bust and 25" waist. The shoulders collapse when the circle pedal is pressed. The tape around the shoulders holds them together from further expanding. It may need to be repaired. especially the left shoulder. The height of the torso adjusts when the other pedal is pressed. But it only pushes down an inch or so. And the torso requires a strong push down. To lower it. For sale is this incredibly cool My Double Dress Form Model B. This is from the 1940's. Has this great metal/wire flexible body that you can shape with the included rods. Rods pull out and in to form the shape. Wonderful snap together front and back of body. I have seen a few Model A's but it seems this Model B is rarer. Wood base that you can make higher or lower by inserting the peg. Both the top and bottom of the wood base still retain an original My Double label. At full extension. Wonderful Wolf 1966 model collapsible dressmaker's mannequin. Outer fabric worn. But but form is completely intact and easily covered. Cast iron base and foot pedal with steel wheels all in excellent working order. Can be be raised from 60" to over 8' tall. Ideal for dressmakers and tailors. This dress form is made by J.R. Bauman Normal Model Form. Inc. in NYC. Marked Size 16.5. Model 196S. These are very rare in this size. The fabric cover has some wear from use on the shoulders and chest. Iron base and pedal do not adjust in height. This is a solid wood body form not collapsible these are much more rare.
