Vintage Adjustable Mannequin Dress Form With Partial Stand
Listing is for a vintage adjustable dress form/ mannequin. Material on the form has some staining I imagine from glue. There are little pieces of paper with number on the adjustable knobs that are coming off from being so old. As I have said in other listings I am not allowed to touch glue so I will leave to the new owner to glue them back in place. The base has a mount for 3 screw in legs I only have two. I scoured the estate sale we were at for it but could not locate it. I am sure you could locate 3 other suitable legs or have one made for this. I wired her as a floor lamp, and used different hats for the lampshade. I would find these amazing vintage dresses at thrift shops and dress her in them. Sometimes she would startle my ex- he thought that there was a stranger in the house. Then again. He wasn't that bright. Her metal parts are no longer shiny. And the metal at the neck is a bit rusty. There is a knob that is missing that protrudes from the top of her neck. She used to have a stamp on her chest. Full size. Real size female dress form, female mannequin, free standing female dress form, used, in decent condition and has lots of life left in it, the top comes off as pictured. There is a hole in the cover on the back side of the neck, other than that it is in good condition. Some minor marks on the fabric as pictured. Chest circumference is 36 inches, waist circumference is approximately 25 inches, hips(measured at the bottom of the dress form) circumference is 36 inches. The height of the dress form is approximately 31 inches. It comes just as pictured. It does not have a stand/ base, but it can be either free standing or be put onto a standard stand/ base as it does have a hook up for attaching a stand/ base but you have to get a base separately if you don't already have one. Beautiful Tall Vintage French Mannequin Dress Form made our of plaster over fabric. Brass arm and neck plates. Brass tacks on cotton lining. Wood underpart of dress form where the cast iron attachment holds the wood base. Wood turned column with dark green paint on two circular rings. The only markings I see say"FF" on the underside of the cast iron attachment. Some of the plaster has small chips which have flaked off. This is a wonderful piece to add to any dress shop. The fabric is in good condition– there are some frays here and there and discolor as well. The inside metal adjustments have some rust but the wing nuts/screws do turn enabling you to expand and contract different parts of the form. Some of these metal sliders do have some bend. It comes on a cast metal adjustable stand. There is some rusting on the pole. The previous owner sanded and painted the leg base– that looks pretty good! As shown in the photos. Unique Vintage Antique Wire & Wood Dress Form - Mannequin on aTurned Wood Base
This is an antique dress form or mannequin made of wire on a turned wood base. The shoulders are wood with a wood dowel down the middle that fits into the base. There are wire loops in the top of the turned part and also on the base for strings to hold the wire form in place. At one time it was covered in burlap. It is 58" tall. The base is about 21" tall and 16" wide. The wire form is 16" by 14" across the bottom, 13" by 10" at the waist, and 14" by 11" at the bust. It is 15" wide at the shoulders.
