Offered here is a vintage circa 1930's ACME dress form. Manufactured by Ellanam in Brooklyn. NY. Rare and Older than the L&M label. This old gal is in great shape for being around for over 80 years. Covered in neutral gray fabric that's in excellent shape. A couple of small tears on the cloth but nothing major no stains or odors. This has the original Acme blue and white sticker still intact. It was made by the L&M Adjustable Form Company of Brooklyn 21 New York. The 2 digit(21) zip codes were discontinued in 1963. So it is that old or older. The height can adjust from 36 inches to 63 inches. That measurement is to the top of the adjuster knob. It has a nice heavy cast iron base. At the lowest height it would sit nicely on a table top. The body parts are adjustable as well as the height. This is the size B model. It is approximately 14 1/2 inches wide at the shoulders, The bust is about 37" waist 28" and hips about 36. Here is a fantastic Antique vintage dress form. Complete with lower cage, finial, and cast iron base. The dress form is a JR Bauman collapse a form model 1963. Fabric covered with original JR Bauman logo and the original lower cage. The cast iron base has a foot pedal that locks the height of the form so it could be raised or lowered. A great look for any store prop or industrial loft decor. this dress form is in very good condition, a few small tears to the fabric see photos. This dress form was made by Rite and has 16 adjustable sections. It is a size 1. Its adjustment ranges per the label are: Bust-32 to 42 inches. Waist-22 ½ to 32 inches. Hips-33 to 43 inches. It has a cast iron base with an adjustable height from 62 ½ inches high when adjusted all the way up and down to 35 inches high when lowered all the way down. The height measurements are to the knob on top. The knob on top is for the upper sections and the wing nuts on the inside are for the lower sections. It is used and in good condition but has some stains and signs of use as pictured. This is perfect for your sewing projects or for modeling your dresses.
