This is an Antique Cast Iron base. Fiberglass body Dress Form. It has a cast iron base with rolling wheels marked by the maker, J.R.Palmenberg& Sons, New York. The body is marked J.Beck, 9 F-1 on the bottom of the body. There is a handle on the back of the body that allows you to adjust the body up and down. The base is in very good condition with easily moveable wheels and no rust. The body has a small hole in front at the base of the neck. It could be easily repaired. The body has some small nicks, scuffs and stains here and there. The base is 14" x 14" x 15"h. The form is 41"h and adjusts to 55"high.

Fairloom Sears Dressmaker's Mannequin. Sold by Sears Roebuck and Co only. Cast Iron Knob on top that turns to expand the form; adjustable for height; with cast-iron 4 footed base. My mother's much-used dressmaker's mannequin is fully functional with no missing parts. However, there are a few holes in the fabric. Those that are noticeable can be seen in the photos. There is a white spot on the bust and a small hole beneath it. There is also a hole on each shoulder and a couple of other holes that are too small to see in the photos. In addition the Sears label has been ripped and is partially missing. I've used a low starting price to reflect the less-than-perfect condition. The mannequin is boxed and ready to ship. NICE!! 1800’s to early 1900’s Antique Vintage ACME Dress form or Mannequin!
Up for your consideration is a nice late 1800’s to early 1900’s Antique Vintage dress form or mannequin that is marked“ACME FORMS” on the base as well as a tag by the neck. This is an Antique or Vintage Dress form and I am not for sure of the year it was made but I have seen similar ones listed as 1900 to 1914. The base is of cast iron and ornate it reads“ACME FORMS” PATD APLD FOR” It has all original arm socket& neck plates as well as a neck finial made of wood. The body is made of OLD paper mache and covered with a very old knit type fabric. This form has the original fabric with a size 36 stamped on the back. THE ONLY THING I AM NOT SURE IS ORIGINAL IS THE PAPER NAME TAG ON THE FRONT. I LOOKS ORIGINAL BUT IT IS SUCH GOOD SHAPE! This is a great vintage dress form. It measures 57" when assembled. The body is made of some type of paper mache with a stretch fabric over it. The fabric could easily be changed.The inside has all metal size adjusters. There is one inside the shoulder that is pulled loose. Does not affect the display of the piece. Gorgeous antique salesman sample dress form. It used to be that salesmen would carry these little forms to display miniature examples of their work so ladies could choose which dresses they wanted made for themselves. When I was in the museum of London. I was intrigued by the many examples of dressmakers' samples in the display cases. Vintage Antique Hall-Borchert Dress Form Mannequin
This interesting mannequin is a vintage piece from the Hall-Borchert Dress Company. What I know about this mannequin is that she survived a fire at some point. And that is why the cloth covering is missing(you can see some of the cloth still attached on the label close-up) There is some dried water marking, and it appears that somebody wrote a few numbers in chalk on the body. The base is cast iron, and is very firmly attached to the mannequin. These vintage mannequins are in high-demand among collectors to be used as crafty decoration pieces. It is a near full size woman(48" Not a miniature, and is quite old, she is wire, and somewhat moldable and her body separates from the stand into two pieces. Here shape and condition are quite good, perhaps a little reshaping. Her figure is quite shapely, somewhat Edwardian or Victorian in style. I believe she is french wire. This"TASTY" little Vintage Dress Form is in EXCELLENT condition. Which I have found to be VERY RARE for a Dress Form of this age and style. It was made by the J.R. Bauman Normal Model Form. Inc. in NY. The base has cast iron fee t on rollers. With a cage bottom. It can telescope to approximately 8ft It has a size 12 on the front. However I have a vintage dress on it that is a size 8, There are 3 slight worn areas over the right shoulder(see photo) Other than that, the bodice linen fabric is all in tact and the seams are as they should be. The cast iron wheels are rusted, but I believe with some WD40 they could be made to roll again. Beautiful Tall Vintage French Mannequin Dress Form made our of plaster over fabric. Brass arm and neck plates. Brass tacks on cotton lining. Wood underpart of dress form where the cast iron attachment holds the wood base. Wood turned column with dark green paint on two circular rings. The only markings I see say"FF" on the underside of the cast iron attachment. Some of the plaster has small chips which have flaked off. This is a wonderful piece to add to any dress shop. Unique Vintage Antique Wire & Wood Dress Form - Mannequin on aTurned Wood Base
This is an antique dress form or mannequin made of wire on a turned wood base. The shoulders are wood with a wood dowel down the middle that fits into the base. There are wire loops in the top of the turned part and also on the base for strings to hold the wire form in place. At one time it was covered in burlap. It is 58" tall. The base is about 21" tall and 16" wide. The wire form is 16" by 14" across the bottom, 13" by 10" at the waist, and 14" by 11" at the bust. It is 15" wide at the shoulders.

This adjustable collapsible mannequin belonged to my great great grandmother and it was in her Beauty Salon in the 1920's-1970's. It may be older. As she was born in late 1890's.
