But seem to never have been drilled out. This is the bottom of the base. Looking up into the form Looking up into the form. The top. The top. The top. This is an antique Hall-Borchert Dress Form. I'm not sure of the date because I can't find any quite like it online. It's a more simple form then other Hall-Borchert's I've seen. I don't know if it's older than those or what. If anyone has any info please let me know. The height is adjustable but not the skirt or body. It has a 36 on the back and the original label on the front of the neck. Up for auction is an antique. Victorian-style(1900s era) Hall-Borchert dress form. It is a size 1. It has the original label that says Hall Borchert, Size 1 and Teleskopic. It adjusts to a full 6 feet in height. It has a cast iron base with foot pedal and is on wheels. I have to admit that I do not know how the dress form opens or blooms out. Condition: The dress form is in fair++/good condition. It has several holes in the surface cloth along with discoloration. One should does have a corner(about a 1 x2 inch corner) that is cracked and loose but still within the clock covering. The area under the shirt does have a replacement screw. Antique 1900's Victorian Hall Borchert Dress Form Co. with vintage two piece school uniform. I believe this piece is complete even the wooden wheels! Having the orginal tag on chest stating Hall Borchert Dress Form Co. New York& Chicago. This information is also molded on each of the cast iron legs! The height is adjustable by turning a knob in the middle of the iron cage and it spins to adjust. Each body section is also adjustable by inside screws. I did not adjust these at all so needs to be secured. There is some condition issues with peeling to the body portion(see pictures) but in all for the age I consider this piece to be very good! The vintage 2 piece school uniform was on it and labeled Gay-Uniforms MFGS. Pittsburgh,Pa Wash&Wear. The over the shoulder piece has browning to the white color. Vintage Antique Hall-Borchert Dress Form Mannequin
This interesting mannequin is a vintage piece from the Hall-Borchert Dress Company. What I know about this mannequin is that she survived a fire at some point. And that is why the cloth covering is missing(you can see some of the cloth still attached on the label close-up) There is some dried water marking, and it appears that somebody wrote a few numbers in chalk on the body. The base is cast iron, and is very firmly attached to the mannequin. These vintage mannequins are in high-demand among collectors to be used as crafty decoration pieces.
