Shimano Torium 16 Fishing Reel + Carbon Fiber Drags Just Serviced Right Handed
Greetings. Up for bid/sale is a lightly used right handed Shimano Torium 16. I used it in freshwater only for a few trophy catfishing trips on the James River here in VA and it brought in the 44lb beauty in the picture. It has been recently serviced and thoroughly broken down and completely cleaned down to the threads of every screw. Non-spool bearings have been completely packed with grease and non-spool bearings have been left open(to let water drain and thus prevent corrosion) and lubed with TSI 301. With a seven foot rod this reel will easily cast 75 yards! Internal surfaces have been coated with marine grade grease to prevent corrosion. It is in perfect mechanical condition with only slight cosmetic nicks from normal use. The drag stack was lightly greased with Cal's drag grease and the carbon fiber drags are from Dawn at Smooth ... moreDrag which are a $15 extra that I am including. I will ship the reel with the original Shimano drags but carbon fiber drags are worlds better. It was spooled last year with 250 yards of 25lb Stren mono that might need to be replaced. I don't have the box or paperwork but it does come with the rod clamp. If not completely satisfied I accept returns but only ask that you pay for return shipping. I doubt you will be unhappy with this reel though. I am only selling it because I am moving to Colorado in a few months and need to finance some fly fishing gear.
