Has some wear but in all it is in very good shape as you can see in the photos. The super-sized and zoom-able photos show the reel for your close inspection. This True Temper 923C does still work very good and all function is there. C ranks quite nice and has a good solid anti-reverse. Drag actually works well smooth and strong and clutch works nicely. Freespool works ... morewell and has a good working bait clicker and clicker switch. Some cosmetic wear as mentioned but still a very good solid vintage collectable piece in good working shape ready to fish or collect alike. Penn Defiance 40 LW Conventional Levelwind Fishing Reel for Repair
Here is a Penn Defiance 40LW conv.reel in very good clean physical condition. The reel cranks in good. The drag seems to adjust ok if you hold on to handle, the levelwind works smooth, and the clicker sounds good, the anti-reverse is not working the crank handle goes back and forth.
