I bought this rod and reel as a gift for my husband. It has been about 20 years ago. He used it twice when we went out deep sea fishing. It was salt water. This rod does not break down so it can be picked up or mailed, it weighs over 3 pounds so the postage is higher due to this. This rod and reel is the heaviest one I have ever lifted. I do not fish much so my knowledge about these things is very limited. I have tried to list everything I can see on the rod and reel. It cast out and reels in very easy for me. This rod is the sturdiest rod I have ever held too.
