Vintage Penn Longbeach 65 Saltwater Deep Sea Fishing Reel-Made in USA
This is a very nice Penn 65 reel which can be used for either deep sea trolling or bottom fishing. This Penn 65 comes with a very clean chrome plated metal spool which will hold approx. 300 yd of 36lb nylon line or 300 yd of 30lb Dacron line. Mechanically gear train consists of a steel driving gear and a stainless steel pinion gear. Chrome spool spins freely and is smooth in action. All mechanical functions are working as they should. Clicker, free spool, and star drag. Cosmetically reel is very good, and is very clean and shiny, including pillars, chrome spool, and base. Outstanding reel to fish.

Purchased these two Penn Reels at an estate sale recently. One is a Penn Squidder#140 and the other is a Penn 65 Long Beach both made in USA. They both seem to be in very nice condition. Don't know much about the reels and really don't know there age. The have some slight scuffing and the Long Beach reel has some discoloration on the chrome. Both seem to work fine. Drag and wind seem to be real smooth. Both clickers are fine, very loud. All switches move fine. Nice set of Penn reels. Thank you for bidding or at least looking at the items for sale. this 68 Penn has been used but not much and never been used in salt water. Its in great shape this box came with a different reel but the same reel. this reel holds 400yards of 45#nylon and 300 yards of 50# Dacron. every thing works on this reel and i want to say like new but its used. the reel saddle is not with this reel, sorry don't know where it went, this reel belonged to a friend that passed away so i don't know much more about it. i do know this man did not use this reel very much. good luck thank you
