VINTAGE PENN SQUIDDER 146 CASTING REEL USA EXCELLENT CONDITION HI-SPEED
Up for auction is a vintage Penn Squidder no.146 USA. It is one of the first ones made and is the hi-speed model(red) maroon side plates. It features hi-speed tournament grade casting performance and a ball bearing harness for smooth casting, Penn workmanship makes these unmatched among conventional reels, rugged frames feature ball bearings, thumb screw, air brake fins make casting easy, optional anti-reverse is controlled by a simple lever, gear ratio for this model is a fast 3 1/2-1, will hold 200yds of 20 lb. test mono, have added 20lb test. This reel has ball bearing for long casts and features a Penn aluminum spool. This reel is hard to get in this condition, I would rate it a 905 of 10 for performance and condition. Vintage Penn Squidder Jr. Model 146 Reel with Rod Mounting Hardware
Vintage Penn Squidder 146 reel in excellent condition. Mechanically reel is perfect and cosmetically looks like it was never used. After I purchased this reel from a collector in 2009 I had it serviced by the pros at Penn's Factory Service Dept. in Philadelphia and reel has been sitting in my closet ever since. I will supply winning bidder with copy of the Penn invoice/receipt for this service work. Reel was internally cleaned and properly lubricated by Penn. Has new drag washers, and is set to fish or become part of a collection. Reel features bright red side plates. Red plastic spool, and matching red colored torpedo knob on handle. Includes set of rod mounting hardware. Reel weighs 16 ounces, has a spool width of 1 5/8 inch, side plate diameter of 2 3/4 inch, gear ratio of 3 1/3 to 1, and holds 250 yards of 12 lb monofilament fishing ... moreline. Here is a nice clean used Penn 146 Squidder Jr. the narrow squidder. It has an accurate frame and an aluminum spool. There is some minor scratching on the chrome from normal use. There is no rod clamp. It spins free and the drag is smooth and the clicker is loud. It is loaded with 15 lb. green P-Line.

This auction is for a used Tiburon frame for a Penn 146 squidder jr in the anodised back color. There is also a Penn 146 spool included which also happens to be used. The winner of this auction will also receive a new smooth drag kit as shown in the pictures. They are the extreme smoothie series. And will fit the 140, 145 and 146 penn squidders.This kit could convert a 145 or 140 squidder into a narrower version, the penn 146 also known as the squidder jr.Although the frame is used it is in very good condition with only a small amount of anodised flecking just over the engraved TIBURON frame front. Accurate penn 500 501 505 506 jigmaster squidder 140 146 145 red handle
This auction is for a used red aluminum anodised handle that fits penn jigmasters 500. 501, 505, 506. This should also fit penn squidders 140, 145, 146. I believe this to be manufactured by nitrofish, but looks very nice with accurate or tiburon conversions. This looks to be a quality built product with little if any use. I do not see any corrosion or pitting where the handle attaches to the shaft. There is a little chipping on the knob probably caused by storage. PENN SQUIDDER JR. 140 modified to a 146 with NEWELL FRAME and SPOOL. The stock small handle has been replaced with a larger one from a jigmaster. For more leverage. Please note that the NEWELL BASE on this reel is the early deckhand style without the tabs that would normally fit into a reel seat. You can USE it on a rod with reel seat- I would recommend a piece of cork tape around the reel seat on the rod before attaching reel. Unfortunately, I don't have the NEWELL clamp but I have included a stock squidder clamp that will work just fine. Light boat rash and corrosion(pitting) on chrome. PLEASE SEE PHOTOS! Recently serviced and ready to fish.

It is a full conversion with Newell bars, reel stand, and spool. The reel is in great shape with some signs of use and wear. It has a lot of new parts and would be a nice addition to your fishing arsenal. It has very good free spool, brand new HT100 drags, shifts in and out of gear very smooth, and runs great. It has new main and pinion gears, new bridge assembly, new ecc. jack, new yoke, new ecc. spring, screw and lever, new bearings, and a new paddle handle up-grade.
