Vintage Bashlin Power Lineman Gear Hooks Body Belt Straps Heavy Leather
Up for auction is a vintage linemans belt from Bashlin. One belt that goes around the waist and one large strap attached that goes around the pole(I think) Lots of loops for tools. Belt measures 46" end to end and the strap is 56" long. Very heavy leather with large metal hooks. The leather needs reconditioning. But otherwise good. Sorry about the increase in shipping- the post office has raised their prices again this year + the cost of packing supplies has gone up and eBay now takes 10% of the shipping I charge and puts it in their pocket. The waist is a thick rigid leather. It has two thick metal hooks. A side pouch and a leather strap with a metal hanger. The Belt is structurally sound and is not broken, ripped or torn. VINTAGE POLE CLIMBING SAFETY TOOL BELT - BASHLIN SAFETY STRAP - BASHLIN SPIKES?
This is a vintage set of pole climbing equipment. The leather belt is 5" wide with some tool pouches& measures about 43" from the outside edge of the buckle to the last hole on the tongue strap& has heavy duty hardware. The Bashlin safety strap is 1 5/8" wide& looks to be more of a canvas with heavy duty snap locks. I believe the climbing spikes are also Bashlin but hard to make out the markings. They are about 17" long with good points& upper leather but missing the bottom strap. This set came from an estate sale& he was a retired from the phone co. I used some saddle soap on the leather but it's still old& a little stiff.

Great Uncle Les was a lineman for Bell Tel back in the early 1940's. Found its way into my possession. But it needs to be in yours. The belt's buckle head is stamped Bashline Grove City(see first picture) It is 75ish year old and it's really in rather good condition.but NOT new! Your reasons for considering and possibly buying this are your own. Its usefulness as an everyday tool is a judgment you'll need to make. As it's displayed in the pictures the belt is 38-inches long and 2-inches wide. Add five inches at each end for the snaps. The whole thing is substantial. Weighing in at about four pounds. Military Vintage LINEMAN M. KLEIN 1971 BASHLIN POLE CLIMBING HARNESS TREE RIG
Just got this in this safety belt that came with some Military Surplus. Unsure of exact application or much about it other than it has a date of 9 month of 1971 on the Klein Belt Buckle. I did measure both from end to end approximately. One that is brown in color is about 68" long. Both of these measure a width of 1 3/4" inches. The other is about 50.5" inches long, There is typical wear on both do to there use and age. Neat old items from the past. Unsure if everything is on both of them, I know very little about them other than what I do see. Pictures as well give a good description as I have mentioned.
